The hotel staff were great especially AZIZ he went above and beyond to help make out stay good, the food was fabulous, the room was lovely but window area needs urgent attention ( very unsatisfactory)

I cannot thank the hotel and spa enough! The staff made our rare visit away from the children one to remember with plenty of treats and relaxation for my birthday! Particularly Olivia in the evening restaurant, was professional, considerate and very caring, Sara in the spa was wonderfully empathetic following my shoulder surgery, Danny at the bar asking how our lunch ws going was a nice touch and finally Aziz at breakfast and lunch and Shannon on reception, you both very much made our stay!! 💖

Just back from a wonderful four day/three night stay at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel.
My room was clean, tidy and spacious. Every member of staff I encountered - reception, dining room, bar, spa and maintenance were friendly, helpful and efficient.
Would most definitely visit again and recommend.

Went for 1 night and it was amazing. Spa was really well kept and food was good. Limited choice if on the dinner bed and breakfast rate which was disappointing but still good food and would definitely come back. Our room was huge!!! Loved the room so big and clean

My wife and I recently stayed here on a spa package. We were greeted by friendly reception staff and found we had been given a free room upgrade to a premium suite.
We enjoyed a quick lunch in the Cameo bar and cant recommend staff member Aziz enough. What a super friendly, helpful man. An asset to the hotel for sure.
We used the leisure facilities with a lovely swim in the pool, use of the thermal suite and then we enjoyed a spa treatment.
Our evening meal was very nice and we both agreed tht the range of breakfast choices the following morning were one of the best we’ve seen in a hotel.
We will definitely return and can recommend a stay here to others.

I recently attended a business meeting at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel. The meeting included an evening meal.
The service levels provided by the hotel staff was 1st class...a massive thank you to Ashton and her team for an excellent meal and superb service!

Met a coupple here for a reunion after Covid....a pleasant hotel, good sized rooms, food reasonably priced and vared.. Highlight was the friendly, helpful staff...very good. Pleasant walks from the hotel. Will stay again

Went here with my 14 year old granddaughter. Our room was bid and beds were comfy . Clean room . Lovely bar area where we had a nice lunch . Restaurant in the evening was nice . Menu wasn't the best more like pub food burgers fish n chips etc but it was ok .
Went in the pool during the times umder 16 could use it and was told i had to be in the pool at all times with my granddaughter which i found strange as i was only sat at side watching and she is a brilliant swimmer but i obided by the rule and stayed in. Yet a couple in their 30s drunk argiumg and almost fightimg sat drinking vodka from a glass bottle which is not allowed and nothing was said . Shoutimg and swearing and i know ar least 1 member of staff saw them when he was grabbing his girlfriend but nothimg was said . Dissapointed as we stuck to family time and other uoung ones in pool too

The accommodation was spotlessly clean as is normal with Mecure hotels. Meals were well prepared and presented. The service in the restaurant was a little slow. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we will use this hotel again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Mercure in the bridal suite for our wedding weekend. Aziz couldn’t do enough for us and was constantly on hand helping us with our belongings - nothing was too much trouble and he had a lovely way of helping the guests who had come for our wedding and making us laugh! Thankyou so much for making us feel so welcome and looking after our every need!
