As I have never been very keen on buying cars from a used car company it was with some trepidation I phoned McCarthy Cars who invited me to see their range of cars as I had taken a liking to car I had seen on ebay. When I arrived they had already organised the car and simply tossed me the keys and invited me to take it for a spin which I did. No pressure, no salesman sitting next to me- just me testing it on its own – what a refreshing change. I noticed a small ding on what was otherwise pristine coachwork; They said no problem and when the car was delivered to me it had been repainted very professionally. They met the figure I had in mind for my old car and based on the very low mileage on the new car I decided to accept the price on the screen and left a deposit. One snag – I had just paid for a year’s tax for my car and also had cherished license plates. It was no problem, I continued to use my car while the registration was changed over and paid for a new tax disk for one year as well as the transfer fee. A few days later my new car arrived at my Leatherhead house some 25 miles from Croydon fully serviced and in immaculate condition and with my new cherished license plates in the boot with instructions to put them on when the new registration details arrived. They certainly went the extra mile for me and I unhesitatingly recommend McCarthy Cars for anyone looking for a good deal. It is no wonder they have won the coveted the Best of Croydon Business award.
