Called for lunch today with my son and two granddaughters, 2 and 3 years, toys were provided for them to play with. Sat in the bar as it was not too busy, the girls enjoyed their pasta and bread and were delighted when ice cream turned up after. My wife, son and I had Brie and cranberry ciabattas, mine with bacon as well lovely meal in a very nice pub. Good range of cask and keg beers. Well worth a visit a pity I have drive to get there or I’d visit a lot.

Major change since the last tenants they opened when the wanted to. The family hired a cottage in the village to attend a family wedding, marquee was erected on the outside area to accommodate all. The service we received from Paul Sally and Gunner was 10/10 nothing was to much trouble. The food was amazing, especially the hangover cure breakfast. Will be back there again for new year. We never stayed at the pub but people that did said the rooms are stunning.
