We popped in to St Marys Chippy and we will definitely be going back. The food is great and you get so much of it for your money. We had large cod, small cod, battered sausage, chicken nuggets, curry sauce and 2 large (and i mean large) chips and it was less than £15. We are a family of four and we couldnt eat it all. If you are hungry, go here. You will not be hungry after you have been.

We've recently moved to Market Harborough so we need to find "our chippy" and this was first on our list to try. It seemed a good solid start - the chips were delicious, not to soggy and not too crispy - perfect. Yet to try the fish so we'll be going back and making a comparison with the other places in town. Service could have been a bit cheerier but all in all great value.

St Mary's Chippy is a little way out of town along St Mary's Road, but it is just a short walk from the large car park near Sainsbury's. I usually call in the evenings and most often have a mixed meat kebab with chips. To say that the food is 'standard fare' is no criticism. The portions are generous and always well cooked and every time I've been in the staff are friendly and efficient. There are other fish and chips shops in Market Harborough but this has become the one I visit regularly.

There was a change of ownership a few years ago and the shop is now very good. The owner seems to be always there and ensuring consistent good service. All staff are pleasant and prompt. The pies are excellent. We usually have a single portion of fish and chips and it is sufficient for two people. You can always park out the front or opposite on a two way street.

My hubby and I agree that this chippy is definitely best chippy in the town. You don't suffer that greasy after taste like you do with many others! We always have chicken kebab and a portion of chips to share as the portions are big. The staff are lovely and friendly, good value for money, good portion size, tasty food!
