We first came here after seeing the restaurant a few times on our way to dine elsewhere & always wondered why it had such a strange sounding name! When I got round to it I read the positive reviews & thought we must try it.
We decided to visit for a family meal to celebrate my son going to university in September. We all had a lovely time.... even me, being a vegetarian! Food was nice, cocktails great too!
My husband & I went again at the end of October. The staff are so friendly & attentive. However, I do wish management would add a few more items to the vegetarian options. There is only a handful of dishes compared to the list for non-veg & by my 2nd visit I found the choice quite repetitive. I’d rather eat a vegetarian Bao Bun than boring old “Chips” with some sort of mayo dip but sadly no veg Bao Bun option.
Come on Taste Social.... get a bit more adventurous for us vegetarians too & i’ll want to come back for more.
That aside, it’s a lovely place to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night so try it if you haven’t already

My son and I visited on a Saturday lunch time. The restaurant was very quiet which was a shame as the food and service were excellent. We had 2 small plates each and a side to share. With 2 soft drinks the bill was under £30. The chips with wasabi mayonnaise were 'insane' in the words of my 15 year old!

Post Christmas evening meal for two. Decided to call in here on way to the pub. Quick friendly service. Not extensive menu but everything we had was amazing. San Miguel on draft and cocktails. Had five dishes about a fiver each.

We ate....we ate....then we ate some more. Such fresh food. Served so fast. Each bite a delight to the taste buds. Amazing mocktails to refresh the palate between each plate of delights. Just order the food like you would at a spanish tapas restaurant. Very reasonably priced for the amazing quality and freshness. Great chef. Try it whilst he's there. After that......well let's hope he not moving. Great table service. Pleasant staff. Thanks for a great meal.

Great restaurant offering Chinese in a tapas style. Great food in small portions, costing around £5-00 per portion. The beauty of this is that if you want to taste lots of different things, it's not all wasted.
Really good choice of drinks, bottled beers and cocktails. Highly recommend.Right in the centre of the town, just beside Nat West Bank. 10 minutes walk from the train station.

My wife and I had a fantastic meal at Taste, not only is the food decent quality, the bill was really reasonable. The small dishes mean you can pick and choose to your hearts content, which is right up our street. And hats off to the two guys who served us, really quickly and friendly service. Would recommend to all!

Wow, we had an issue earlier in the evening due to another place not able to keep our booking so were desperate to find somewhere to eat, Taste Social took us in and it was absolutely fab! Tapas sized dishes (however order less then top up) food comes out within 15 minutes and spread out allowing us to rotate through the food. Drinks and service awesome too, very professional and easy going made our dinner very relaxing, will be back again!

We visited at the weekend for the first time. We loved the cocktails and enjiyed the food very much. Between 2 of us we ordered 7 dishes and could have done with a couple more (we had starved ourselves all day ready lol!). Definitely recommend if you like oriental food. One thing I would like to see is proper chopsticks, not cheap wooden ones. The proces aren't that cheap, so to have disposable cutlery doesn't sit well. We will definately return.
