Average hotel warm and clean comfy beds only down side over priced bar
£5.60 for a pint of coke and that's not the real stuff as it came out of a mixer pump
Breakfast £11 per head for all you can eat and drink so good value

I stayed at thie Mecure Georgian hotel for approximately 8 nights recently while I was doing my Guide dog training. My ground floor accessible room was spotless and cleaned every day. The food was delicious and varied. The staff were so friendly and helpful. You could really tell that they had all had training in dealing with people who have visual impairments. The breakfast staff Lydia and Julie were fantastic and the bar staff Irene, Marina and Lewis were fabulous as well. Nothing was too much trouble and were very caring and considerate.
Thank you to everyone

The Gym and pool area does what it says on the tin.
Steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi, open weight room, free weights and cardio equipment.

The staff are friendly and approachable.

Regular cleaning and water testing.

Stupidly didn't realise this hotel is dog friendly
We have 4 dogs ourselves but really don't want to listen to other people's dogs howling and barking all night
And also had some woman shouting and swearing in room above
Would not stay here ever again

We stayed here overnight with a coach party. The location is convenient but not the best - it's across the road from the bus station but apart from that not a lot going for it. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped with much appreciated air conditioning. The food was good quality, although the evening meal took an hour and a half to be served and could have been more efficiently organised. The main concern we had was that on returning from a short walk, we found another couple outside our room - they had been given our room and the key to go in. They had gone inside and realised it was occupied and didn't go further. I had valuables in the room, so was grateful the couple had been honest (there was a safe in the room that didn't work). I am not sure how this incompetence could have happened but it naturally gave us cause for concern - I took my valuables with me from then on rather than leave them in the room. It makes me wonder how often this happens with these 'key card' type of rooms.

We stayed here for the weekend and the location was ideal for the city centre which was a 5 minute walk away.

Upon arrival we managed to get a car park where some reviews I read people were saying it was hard with it only being a small car park, The reception was on the 1st floor which I thought was strange,We booked for breakfast which was £5 per person glad we did now because it saved us going out first thing looking for somewhere to eat, There is lifts, Once we checked in which was done nice and without any hitches we got directions to our room which was number 322 on the third floor.

The room itself was very clean with tea & coffee facilities, television hair dryer was also included,we had a view of the ring road outside it wasn't too noisy once the window was shut.

We went for breakfast about 9am which was very quiet so we never got rushed there was cereal toast fresh juice which was topped up often, Cheese and biscuits jam & marmalade the fry up included bacon sausage black pudding fried eggs beans mushrooms tomatoes scrambled eggs hash browns which was still warm we were asked by the staff if it was all ok which it was of course. The restaurant and bar area was nice and clean too.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying there.

The only down side was the bed being too soft I prefer a hard bed but it was still very comfortable and we were only in Preston for the weekend.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn, preston, several times. the location is ideal for business, the staff are friendly and teh rooms are spotless. breakfast is good and teh hotel is quiet considering that it is by a main road and opposite the bus station.

The only thing stopping me giving this hotel 5 stars is that the car park is tiny and I often find mysle flugging my bags across the road from the multi-storey above the bus station.

I will continue to use this hotel each time I visit Preston as its convenience and comfort far outweigh the lack of car park.

We stayed here about three years ago and were lucky enough to get a nice room with a fridge. This time the rooms don't look to have changed much and are beginning to look dated rather than stylish, and we had no fridge in our room which we had been looking forward to as it was a very hot day and would have liked to keep our drinks cold.

The room was clean but extremely hot and the windows only open a tiny amount providing no relief. The air conditioning wasn't working. We complained on our way out for tea and were told housekeeping would have a look while we were out. On our return the air conditioning still wasn't working but an iron and ironing board had been placed in our room?! Anyway the lady on reception moved us to another room with air conditioning that worked.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable with a very thin cheap mattress, not what I expected for what I have previously thought of as an upper market hotel.

Location is good to walk to the town centre. Car park is tiny for the size of the hotel however we were lucky enough to get a space. Be careful where you park though as other inconsiderate guests can make getting your car back out in the morning extremely difficult. There is a multi storey car park over the road though and discounted tickets can be bought at the hotel reception at £4 for 24 hours.

Breakfast looked like it had been sat for a while and the bacon would have been great to resole your boots. Staff weren't friendly and bubbly as I would have expected, they gave us the impression we were just getting in the way.

Overall it did the job but we weren't impressed.

Stayed here with my partner for 5 nights in April 2014. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Breakfast and evening meals enjoyable. Not noisy in the evening despite it's closeness to bus station and shopping. Very small car park but were still able to get a space. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

had to stay in Preston an extra night due to business, I asked reception if they had a room ready at 1030 and they found one for me immediately and allowed me to check in. Hotel has a small car park which is handy and at no cost unlike some of the other central hotels. Rooms were clean and tidy and breakfast really good. Only downside was the noise from the main ring road which at times sounded like New York due to the amount of sirens, but I didn't pick the hotel for location, may affect people with children at night
