We didn’t stay here but came for tea at the sports bar they have here and we were not disappointed. We didn’t have to book as it was pretty quite the lady behind the bar Irene was lovely she gave us a menu and took our drink order she was very chatty and told us we could sit anywhere,we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala with rice naan bread and mini poppadums, and Fish and chips and mushy peas everything was delicious, sticky toffee pudding for dessert.with drinks was reasonably priced.Irene the waitress was outstanding nothing was too much trouble would definitely come again enjoyed it.

Stayed here as part of a coach trip when seeing a musical in Salford. On arrival the check in was swift and the room was fine, quite small but clean. The bar area is sterile and reminiscent of a school cafeteria: not particularly inviting or comfortable.

The costs of drinks is really excessive; 2 glasses of wine around £18: I would not be averse to paying this if the bar was a nice area to sit in but it’s not. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere’s so taxis would be required to visit other bars in the area.

As part of the booking we received evening meal and breakfast. This was average, however due to the low price we paid overall I think this was good enough value. The dining area is tired and needs updating.

The best experience of the stay was likely the staff who we found to be friendly and efficient. This hotel for me is an average three star...

Spent one night for business. The WiFi is pretty weak. If you have to log into a remote server (which i did) it's very slow and crashed a few times. The rooms and bathrooms are basic and need updating, but clean and well maintained. The bed was comfy and had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was basic - a little too basic.

We booked the upgraded double which was a nice size room. The room wasn't perfect as there were a few cobwebs and cracked paint on the ceilings and walls. The mattress and pillows were not great quality which resulted in a poor night's sleep for us both. We were meant to get a newspaper in the morning but it wasn't there when we went to check at 8.30am. I mentioned this at reception and was told that it was likely that someone picked it up when walking past the room. We did however enjoy the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and I also received a very good facial and massage from Karen in their spa. Breakfast was very good with a lot to choose from however it was a little overpriced at £11 per head. Overall we had a nice stay and as we live not too far away we will definitely be back to use there spa services.

Staff all very helpful and friendly. However i would not recommend eating here. Food not good. Especially avoid curry which appears to be tomatoes with curry powder and chosen protein. I had risotto after previous experience of curry last year. However rice undercooked in risotto. Serving and reception staff lovely though

This hotel has had a little facelift since my last visit, but the impact is limited and the attention to detail is missing. For example they have fitted the curved shower curtains, which are nice but they haven't made good on the old fittings (see my photo).

Given the average food, location and lack of parking... it's a bit over priced.

Great redeeming feature... the staff that are amazing.

Stopped on our way back from Scotland for just one night, in a coach so parking was not a problem.
Check in very easy and quick, room on the fifth floor over looking the main road so was able to listen to the police cars racing about late at night but if you stay in the town centre what do you expect.
Two really good points to tell you about this hotel that impreessed me.
One, there was a face flannel in the bath room, very unusual these days but a nice touch as my wife always has to take here's with us every trip.
Second, the T.V has a stop on it on the volume control so that you cannot upset the room next door if they are trying to get an early night. pity other hotels do not follow suit.
Staff went that extra mile for us and I even gave one waitress a cuddle as she was so good to myself and my wife.
Thanks for making our one night with you worth remembering ROY

Without exception the staff here may be the friendliest, most helpful I have experienced. They are friendly while maintaining their professionalism. The front desk, the bar staff and those serving our breakfast all made our stay better than we could have hoped for.

The hotel is in a central location, clean and comfortable. We got an excellent price £43.00 for a Saturday night, free parking, (though limited) and breakfast was very good quality and extremely good value at only £10.00 per room.

The hotel building is standard fair really but it is worth staying here just to know the staff will go out of their way to help you and genuinely make you feel welcome.

On a group tour so accommodation booked for us. Luggage in advance was helpfully placed in our rooms so avoiding a scrum when our coach arrived to drop the group off. The lifts were a pinch point with an 8 person limit but room for ftve max with hand luggage and an overload voice alarm if more than four of us got in....
No 13 amp socket by the bed for my CPAP machine but a quick visit to reception and one was delivered about five minutes later. Full marks.
Rooms slightly small and we had to sit our shared and hinged suitcase on the desk that is power socketed for laptops etc.
No in-room wifi although that is promised. Meanwhile an IDSN socket with two options of free limited bandwidth or paid access for higher usage. Seems fair to me and the limited bandwidth option worked fine for me.
We were fed by our tour co so did not eat at the hotel

Clean, comfortable with lovely staff. Breakfast was plentiful with ample choice. I had the haddock with a poached egg and would recommend it. Our room was on 2nd floor but wasn't noisy at all. Very convenient for bus to visit our family. Definitely stay again
