Staff great, food OK, decor really needs attention - apart from bar area which looks good. Only 1 lift was working and that was so slow I took the stairs after the long wait. I was on the 7th floor and still beat the lift speed going up and down!
Overall, not too bad but just needs that bit of polish.

I have stayed here often overnight on Fridways, having to work on Saturday in Preston.

The hotel is reasonably well located. The town centre is about ten minutes walk away though there are not many restaurants nearby, though the Chinese is perfectly acceptable, though it works on a cash only basis!

The car park is, as other reviewers have mentioned, small so it's a good idea to arrive early if you can and leave the car as there may not be a space available when you get back.

Wifi costs £5 but is free for Priority Club members. Do ask for a room with a good signal if you need this as not all rooms recieve it. The internal layout is strange, reception is on the first floor and the lift does not work from the ground floor after 10 p.m. Indeed, entry late at night can only be had by producing your room key and the card that. Ame with it - worth remembering if you are planning a night on the town I guess.

All the rooms we have stayed in have been acceptable or better, with the last one having the benefit of a newly refurbished bathroom. The beds have always been comfortable and house keeping is to a good standard.

I haven't eaten there in the evening but prices look reasonable. Sadly the same can't be said of the prices in the bar where a mediocre standard glass of wine will set you back £5.10. The breakfast service and the food provided are good, though later in the morning things can get a bit rushed and the eggs tired.

The staff, in the restaurant and generally, though reduced in number over the years I have been going there are friendly and helpful.

Overall, this is a good economical choice, better than the Travel Lodge where I stayed when I first went to Preston.

My husband & I stayed here for 1 night recently - we booked it last minute (the actual morning of travel!) and got a double room at the bargain price of just over £37 for room only. Upon arrival we had the option of adding full breakfast at £10 for 2 which was a great price. An added bonus was the free parking (we were lucky enough to get a space in the small hotel car park as we arrived after lunch). The room was on the top floor overlooking the bus station - it was very clean & tidy with a comfortable double bed, flat screen interactive tv and spotless refurbished bathroom. No noise at all at night. Staff were very polite and helpful both on reception and in the dining room. Breakfast was the usual continental, cereal etc. and excellent hot choice. We chose this hotel for the price as we wanted a spur-of-the moment break. Although Preston is tired & worn in places we nonetheless enjoyed our day and night out - as a middle aged couple we found several bars/pubs within walking distance to suit and ate in a lovely italian called Angelo's hidden down a side street off Church Street. I understand Preston is awaiting a much needed facelift in the town centre but like Bradford sadly backers and investment has fallen through. After leaving the hotel after a very prompt & efficient check-out we found Preston Marina, a pleasant surprise, even in the rain, and riding around the area there are quite a few new developments/out of town shops so it just seems that the centre has been neglected in places. I would return here again, not necessarily for the night life or shops, but for it's great price and location to visit surrounding Lancashire - as hotels go it does what it says on the tin!

An excellent location just minutes from the main town. The turning into the hotel is just before the ramp to the multi-story car park so dont miss it. Car parking is a little limited but I have always got parked. Staff were excellent with lots of smiles and a friendly chat. The rooms are fine and the bar area large and reasonable. The breakfast is excellent value. Book when you check in and its £5 per person. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at this type of hotel, everything was on offer from a full cooked to cereals, fruit, pastries and the jams etc and it was self service have what you want.

The receptionist was charming, the bed was comfortable, there was a bathtub (not just a shower), the restaurant was excellent, and the hot & cold buffet breakfast superb. We pre-paid the rate including breakfast, and this was a good choice.

Very limited car parking was first impression. Pleasant staff, but decor is tired and room was a bit stuffy. The food served in the bar was a little pricy for what you get, and something reacted poorly with my stomach! Will look to try somewhere else next time.

Chose this hotel as it was easy to reach by train, excellent location. Very clean and reasonably priced. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant without being intrusive. Had dinner in the restaurant on the first floor which was very nice too.

Nothing wrong with hotel. It’s very large. I stayed on a Sunday and it was virtually empty. Room was good nothing special but fine. Had some lunch menu was limited and food indifferent. The breakfast menu was disappointing basic choice. So overall ok but nothing to make it stand out

The staff were very helpful and knowledgable. The hotel was lovely and the food choice was very good. My room was lovely and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Would I here again certainly. If there was a fault it was the lighting of the entrance from the main road. Ample parking with the reception easily accessible and well lit.
