I came here for my 30th birthday. I was very sceptical about coming after reading some of the reviews. But honestly we had such an amazing time! Emily from reservations sorted us out. From start to finish, she’s a credit to your hotel. Rooms was decorated, lovely birthday message on the mirror. Thanks again Emily. We most definitely return to your hotel.

The hotel is in need of a large refurbishment and is looking dated in the bedroom areas. Rooms themselves need an update and look quite empty.
We requested to change our evening meal reservation only to be told it was completeley booked up however when we turned up the restaurant was at most half full if that.
The restaurant was very disappointing with a few of items not being being available from an already limited menu, service was slow and caused by the maitredee being all controlling and not letting any staff do anything without her supervision. Breakfast however was really nice and a good experience.
Spa area is a tale of 2 halves, pool area looks worn and dated yet the steam rooms/sauna area is very nice and looking fresh.

Stayed for boogie bingo and emily and Sarah in reservations really helped with my booking. Stars! Also Demi in the spa is so kind and accommodating. Boogie bingo was fun and really wanted that inflatable Swan they had as a prize.

This was the first time I’d had stayed in the hotel which from the entrance looks very welcoming.
The whole experience started from when I made the booking with the reservations team,Sarah & Emily were very professional and told me everything I needed to know.
My room was very clean and spacious, breakfast choice was generous and very tasty.
The staff in general were very accommodating.
I would certainly stay here again.

What a lovely group of people! The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were all friendly and helpful. I REALLY need your roast spud recipe from the breakfast too as mine never come ojt of the oven that nice!
I would highly recommend 'The Dunk'. In the midst of an intense stop start tour, it's up there as one of the best hotels we've stayed in on our trip!

Wow, amazing stay at the Dunkenhalgh, we have stayed before, in fact we got married there nearly 20 years ago. We always have a lovely stay, the hotel and rooms are beautifully looked after and updated, the bathrooms are brilliant and everything spotless. The staff are always lovely and the spa facilities are fantastic and have been beautifully refurbished. Highly recommend

A simply wonderful 4 nights. I was upgrades from a single room to a huge double. It was quiet with lively views.
The staff were personable, friendly and helpful always. The breakfast was good.
And the swimming pool, steam and laconicum were amazing.
I'd go again at the drop of a hat.

I visited this hotel on a coach holiday for 4 nights. I could not have asked for better service. The dinner team were all very helpful with my food allergies making sure I had the meals to suit me, in particular Ashton and Danielle. We had a large lunch as part of our holiday package on the last day and I decided to have my own cheese and biscuits in my room as I knew any meal would be too much. The reception staff, Amy, brought me a knife and plate which was very kind. This had been requested by the housekeeping staff. I was talking to Alison who was cleaning the rooms as I went for breakfast and she put in the request for me. All the staff I saw were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and considering the wear and tear hotels get, also well maintained. My only very insignificant problem was the chinks in the curtains. All in all, a VERY pleasant stay.

A wonderful stay at a beautifully located hotel. The room was so clean and the bed was super comfy. Extra special mention to Sarah who was an absolutely superstar!
The breakfast was huge, delivered by a very kind and friendly gent called Aziz! Thank you for making our short stay a lovely one! Looking forward to returning!

Very dated hotel that wasn’t as clean as I would have hoped. It really needs a full overhall and refurbishment. The food was very expensive for poor quality canteen style food…very poor experience and I would think twice before booking again.
