I came to the mercure for a business meeting with my financial director operations manager me as CEO and my CFO with some of our deport managers and the service we received from Irene was absolutely out of this world proffesional quality in a lady constantly kept us refreshed with tea coffee and water in fact in the near future I'm holding all my business meetings there purely because of Irene at mecure Georgian house Bolton

Very pleasant and quiet environment and great location. Irene behind the bar really looked after us and provided a wonderful service. Will certainly use this venue more often. Can sit in the quiet bar or there is also a nice meeting room to use.

Arrived a little early for the dementia club so we went for a drink and something to eat in the bar area. Irene was absolutely brilliant with my parents and the service and food were excellent. This is not my first experience with Irene but each time she has been super helpful and so nice. A true credit to your hotel. Thanks Irene! X

We stayed at the hotel for the Iron Man race. Irene was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. She is truly an asset to the hotel. We would highly recommend staying here. Thank you very much Irene and everyone that works at the hotel.

We stayed here overnight, it was excellent value for money, the rooms were really comfortable and spacious. We loved the brasserie, it had such a calm and relaxing atmosphere about it. The person who served our breakfast this morning really does deserve a special mention. Her name was Irene and she was so friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us and that we’d enjoyed our stay. What a lovely lady! We shall certainly be back!

The hotel rooms could do with updating but were clean and had all amenities. The staff were extremely friendly particularly at the bar/restaurant. Irene went above and beyond to help me and my family, she made us feel extremely welcome.

Had my wedding on Saturday and Rochelle and all the team where simply amazing great value for money the room was beautiful exceeded our expectations they went above and beyond
The room was lovely all the amenities where clean coffee machine in the room as well as the kettle breakfast was lovely if you are thinking of getting married give Rochelle a call

Stayed 2 nights in a standard room on 2nd floor. Room and bathroom were very clean but tired, and in need of an update. Looked as though shower unit had been replaced recently which was good.
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and hot buffet constantly being refreshed. Downside was entire hotel seemed extremely hot especially the dining room making it unpleasant at breakfast time. Room so hot at night had to leave window open, but then had to suffer extremely loud extraction fans outside.
Overall stay was OK but Mercure need to upgrade entire hotel soon.

We needed to stay in the area for business and we were pleased with our choice of hotel. It has a very large and free car park.
We had a large room which was clean and well facilitated with good views across the surrounding countryside.
The hotel is a little dated, but practical.
Breakfast was good. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. In particular, Irene in the bar area was very helpful.
