Decent enough but it needs some money spending doing some renovations. Certain areas are a little rough round the edges. The rooms are nice but out dated and especially the bathrooms, I was in 887 and it was very quiet apart from pleb in the next room that kept shouting out. I did email the hotel and request a quiet room. All the staff I had interaction with were really nice. The lady on the reception, the young lad who took my order for a meal, the really lovely blonde lady at the bar and Lydia at breakfast. All the food was nice but it’s even better when work are footing the bill.

We went for lunch and the food was great and very filling! Lovely service from Irene who was very sweet to both our dog and our baby! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming; a nice local place for a meal! We will be back again for food in the near future!

Afternoon tea
What an incredible service!
Everyone went above and beyond

We have a voucher booked in and so glad we did!

Irene was our waitress and had set up the most beautiful table for us! She took into account the fact we had a new born baby so put us in a nice quiet corner where it was toasty warm

She was so welcoming and kind! As a first time mum going out with a baby and breastfeeding Irene did everything to make sure I was really comfortable and it made such a difference!!!!

Our tea cups were constantly refilled and Irene arranged all our leftovers to be boxed up for us

The food itself was stunning a real wow!

The whole experience was relaxing and stressfree just what I needed for my first time out!

Second time we have been for lunch, the service and the food really lovely. It’s such a relaxing place, the staff are really welcoming and very efficient. It’s definitely one of the best in the area.
The hotel is nice and warm, the views, particularly from the car park at the back are worth seeing. Thank you.

The bedroom and bathroom were cramped, although the beds were comfy. Lighting was better than usual (maybe as the room was smaller!). Food in the restaurant was poor and in consequence we only ate there on the first night. Breakfast also could have been much better (e.g. hard eggs, no skimmed milk,, sour fruits of the forest) and little choice. The porridge was good and there were plenty of bananas for a change!. The decor in the restaurant looks very dated, then you realise (if you think about it) that the restaurant is called nineteen 75. If this is meant to be the theme it needs to be made more obvious. There is a lovely picture on one of the floors of three red telephone boxes. Why not in the restaurant? Maybe some posters of events in 1970 or history information with photographs. Why not 70’s music instead of the ghastly stuff we had to listen to? The i newspapers were available from reception but not delivered to the room for members. No other papers. Parking available but not a lot of it; we got the last space. (Not sure where you go if it is full). Only one lift working and that not very reliable. Staff were mostly very pleasant and helpful. The place was clean and tidy and paintwork was in the process of being renewed.

The hotel is in a good location just half a mile from the train station and on the outskirts of the city centre. The hotel is very clean and smells nice, staff are friendly and helpful. I was on the 4th floor and my room was nice and clean. Ok value for money at £65 for a double room doesn't include breakfast though. The restaurant and bar area are nice the food is lovely but majorly overpriced it cost me 12 pound for chicken strips, chips and a orange juice It was very fresh and nice though. Overall decent budget hotel

A really nice clean and comfortable hotel complimented by some very good staff. I took a party of 48 and the feedback was very positive with good food, comfortable rooms and overall a very pleasant stay. Staff are always key to success and everyone was very helpful during our stay.

I stayed here a couple of night during a business trip. Short walk to restaurants, pubs, shopping, City Centre, buses and trains. I was driving so my main concern was parking. There is a very small parking lot. Disrespectful visitors parked a few inches behind my car and blocked me from leaving early on my departure day. I believe the hotel should enforce rules about allowing guests to park illegally. Fortunately, there is also paid parking at the bus station across the street. Beds were not high quality but rooms were adequate for a business hotel. Internet was fast and free. Hotel was being renovated and there was ongoing painting to refresh the look of the walls. There were lots of great places to eat in the area. I had no opportunity to eat at the hotel. The pleasant and informative staff made my visit very enjoyable. I finished my business early and found time for sightseeing. Everyone I met gave me great advice for restaurants and tourist attractions.

I think this is the best hotel actually in Preston. You can walk to town and the station from here. Parking is not great though. Very small. And weirdly the reception is on the first floor. Only one lift working when i visited. But this isn't the norm. Service is very good. Food OK. I always go out for dinner when at the hotel. But it's not bad. Rooms clean and the gym is again small but at least there is something.

Stayed here as part of a coach party who went to the Grand National. Dinner was @ 9pm as soon as we had arrived but was not exactly exceptional but adequate. Staff did work hard to get everyone seated and fed. Room on 5th floor and only one lift working did mean delays. Room was clean, beds comfortable and everything provided. Breakfast was very good all that anyone would want. A good centre of city hotel.
