First impressions weren't brilliant. Reception on first floor and for the first time ever I was given an already occupied room which made for an embarrassing conversation at someone else's door! To be fair the receptionist quickly sorted it out and gave me a voucher for the bar. Room had been recently renovated, nice decor and a/c that worked very well. Nice to have free wifi as well. Breakfast okay with helpful staff. Unfortunately hotel layout meant that you either had view of Preston ring road or the Brutalist architecturally styled bus station. For business or 1 night then okay but location precludes from recommending for anything else.

Some holiday inns need a coat of paint this one has had one so looks better than the average one. On check in staff very helpful, I could not get the Internet to work they came and sorted it out. Fitness centre is small but functional, however it did seem to get full quickly. Car park is small I arrived early so not problem for me but it did seem full soon after I arrived. Breakfast was good staff helpful and service was good.

IHG webpage ballsed up my amended booking, but Donna on reception sorted me out with a room, Full marks for sorting out an irate and tired customer. Usual problems getting a parking spot in the car park, but decent enough sleep and steak in bar was fine. Range of beers is poor, nothing locally crafted.

Nice hotel. Staff are very friendly it's a shame about the view. Either the car park and the bus station or the main ring road are your views. If you have a choice take the ring road view, although it's noisier from the traffic. The rooms are small. We had a twin bedded room, but they are clean. Parking can be a nightmare when busy bug the hotel has an arrangement with the company next door to use there's when the hotel is full

I arrived very late due to rail problems so was very weary. The excellent reception staff revived my spirits. All the staff at the hotel where extremely friendly , in particular the breakfast staff ( ok if you are a miorning person , may be too cheery if you are not !! )

Clean and pleasant room, although a bit small and single beds take some getting used to ( double room , twin beds)

The hotel is very comfortable and well appointed..The only complaint being that there is no Air conditioning and as we were visiting at the height of a very long hot spell..
The staff are superb, friendly, fun, efficient and helpful..What more can one ask of a hotel's staff. One of the staff , Zouwie (Apology for spelling if wrong) should be singled out for particular praise..Nothing too much trouble and very funny with it..A total gem..
With Aircon 5* plus...
Thank you!

Stayed for business

Room was nice, bed comfortable, good ventilation from windows on a warm night, which gave way to cool mornings

Breakfast was nice, self service. The lady host over 3 days was very pleasant. Good selection of hot and cold items with hot and cold beverages

Location: Decent, easy to find and with a whole load of parking on site. The view from some of the rooms is stunning.
Check In: Efficient and welcoming although the pre-authorisation of Room+£30 wasnt communicated. In fact no numbers were discussed at thtat point which didnt cross my mind until i saw it on my banking App!
Room: We had a room on the 2nd floor, in the 700's. It was nice, big, small bath so dont think about it if you're bigger than a size 14! There wasnt any air con so it was pretty warm, and no fans either.
Bar: The service was slow, like really slow. 1 drink at a time maximum so there was a fair bit of good old british signing by other guests waiting to be served. It was also really expensive.
Event venue: We were here for a party, its like a maze but we found our way round.
Breakfast: The breakfast was good. Hot food was very good but the continental breakfast food was stale and rock hard.
It was £89 for room only on booking.com, so had to pay extra £10pp for breakfast.
We were supposed to get a morning newspaper with the room, didnt get asked which one we wanted and didnt realise until we left.
