A large carpark to the rear and welcoming staff on arrival. The room was comfortable and clean, food was ordered over the phone to the front desk and was delivered straight to the door.
None of the facilities where available like gym and bar due to covid but enjoyed none the less.

From the moment we walked in they treated us like royalty! I cannot begin to describe the sheer delight on her face, as the love of my life was greeted by the manager ‘Bronwen and the team as we were shown around this beautiful venue. They knew exactly how important this was to her! Every single member of staff had smiles on their faces, which in turn made us feel warm, happy and very welcome. Thy are beautiful people; well dressed and exceptionally well mannered. Thank you Irene, Lewis and Nadine!

Bronwen’s threw in an overnight complimentary stay and added the use of the leisure club which had a Jacuzzi, pool, sauna and steam-room. Furthermore, their venue dresser ‘Julie’, went above & beyond to make our experience especially romantic; In our opinion she is highly talented with an exception attention to detail.

The atmosphere at the bar was perfect! Chris made sure you were not kept waiting & service was right there when you wanted it and the prices are very reasonable.

The lighting was perfect, the music was at comfortable level and the ambience and dancefloor simply blew us away. You got so much more for your money and the service provided was phenomenal!

My wife was buzzing with excitement and still keeps talking about how beautiful our time was at this venue to this day.

“TO AN PERSPECTIVE WEDDING COUPLE PLANNING ON BOOKING HERE: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? THIS IS REALLY IS THE VENUE YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!”

Love and Best wishes,

Mr and Mrs Martyn

I stayed at the hotel as I had a business meeting the next day. Location wise it's close to the station and costs £5.00 to get to in a taxi. Hotel it's self looks ugly as its a 1950's concert horse shoe, check in was quick and the staff friendly, the room I had over looked the road junction, was small and very basic, the bed mattress was awful and had massive sags on both sides. The only part of the hotel which didn't look tired was the bar area which must have had a refit. I eat in the hotel as there didn't seem to be anywhere nicer near by, the food was better than I expected but still pretty basic. As I said at the start the staff were very nice, I felt sorry for them as it's not their fault Holiday Inn haven't invested in the building or rooms. Im not sure I will stay there again as I think I will be looking for a hotel with a nice & more modern room.

Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds and great view of the city, the Ribble estuary and the Forest of Bowland from the seventh floor. It's the friendly staff that really make this hotel tho, with a special mention and extra thank you to Julie on reception who went that extra mile, much appreciated.

Just returned home from a 1night stay here. Booked with National Holidays. Reception staff pleasant, room adequate and bed comfortable. Evening meal in dining room was like a free for all when people going for main course even after staff asked for guests to go table by table.1member of staff named Tess was very rude when a guest asked her a question and argued with a guest in dining room. Another staff member called Kirsty was very pleasant and efficient and tried to resume a logical way for guests to get food. Food was decent, breakfast was better. Would stay here again but would eat out.

We stayed here as a stopover on a long drive. We arrived very late (1am) but were given a great welcome by the reception staff who were very helpful. We advised them that we had a really early departure and guided me to a parking space that would enable me to get on the road quickly. The hotel was handily located close to the M6 motorway.

There was a great choice of breakfast items which were constantly being replenished by the restaurant staff. Everyone we encountered was very friendly.

Our room was a typical Holiday Inn room with a selection of pillows, a great shower and most importantly, fantastic aircon.

It was just the hassle-free stopover we needed after such a long journey.

I've stopped here at least 3 times now and always found the staff friendly and helpful. Parking is limited but you can pay £4 rather than £6 in the bus station car park next door if you speak to reception.

Even the rooms facing the main road are quiet and, typically from Holiday Inn, a good size with comfy bed and pillow choice.

Would recommend if you need a stop over in Preston.

I was down from Scotland to meet some of my friends at the Arsenal game in Liverpool at Goodison Park. I couldn't get a train back home to Glasgow that night due to the late kick off so i needed a cheap place to stay. Worked out cheaper staying in Preston for a train home at lunchtime the next day.
I was slightly suspicious due to how cheap the room was at just £55 on HotelStayUK. I needn't have worried. The hotel was just 5 mins from the station. Plenty of nightlife and shopping close by. The room was immaculate, decent sized tv with plenty of channels and tea/coffee making facilities. Popped in for a pint in the bar which is very spacious as well. Breakfast was included in the rate and there was a fantastic choice. I had a full English, toast, coffee and a few of their excellent mini danish pastries. Everything was cooked just right and you were just able to help yourself.
All in all a great value deal and i'll certainly be back in the future if i need a stopover. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I stayed at this hotel for the second time this year in early September and for three nights.

The hotel is centrally located on the main ring road around Preston whilst the City Centre is less than a five minute walk.

Limited parking is available at the hotel which I was fortunate to get a space all three days although alternative parking is available at the Bus Station opposite and is discounted by reception.

Reception is on the first floor and can be reached either by stairs or lift whilst check in was completed fairly quickly and as a member of the hotel loyalty scheme I was offered some additional points or a free drink at the bar.

My room was on the top floor (7th) and overlooked the main road although noise was not an issue during the stay as there is noise excluders in use. Air con is available in the room and I think this may have been replaced since my last stay as the units were very powerful and kept the room nice and cool.

The room itself was clean and well maintained with no visible housekeeping issues. It is starting to look a little tired as it has been a whilst since they were refurbed, however it was more than suitable for a few nights.

The bed was comfortable and I had a decent nights sleep each night. There was no internal noise within the hotel at all whilst noise from the street wasn't bad either due to the extra glazing.

I had breakfast on two of the mornings I stayed and there was a decent choice available which was fresh and of decent quality. I went for breakfast first thing both mornings. On the Friday it was quite peaceful, however there was a coach party there on the Sunday and it was much busier so if there is a coach party in the hotel and you aren't in a hurry it may be quieter later on in the breakfast service. Although it was busy the staff were prepared for it and there was no shortage or wait for food.

I also ate in the hotel on two nights, ordering room service both nights. I had a beef burger the first night which was very nice and was clearly handmade rather than frozen which was good whilst on the second night I had the Cajun chicken burger which to be honest was the best Cajun chicken I have had in years. Whoever made it was not shy with the spices and it was cooked how it should be so thumbs up there.

On the whole the hotel was clean, comfortable and I had a good nights sleep whilst the food I had was good so I'd definitely return in the future.
