We were impressed with the revamp this hotel has had - it felt very modern, nice new decor, good looking reasonable sized rooms, a very comfortable bed.
We also liked the roller doors used in the place of curtains - they keep out the light and looked very modern.
We didn't use the restaurant at night so I can't comment on the evening meal (we went out into Preston for our night out) - however we had the choice of a good range of food and drinks in the morning in the pleasant and stylish restaurant - we were very happy with with our cooked breakfast - which set us up for the day.
The staff were all helpful and friendly.
The hotel is near to the part of Preston we wanted to be near and had an onsite car park which was convenient. We will use this hotel when we next visit Preston.

I stayed here for a few nights in February. This hotel is situated in a good city centre location, parking is a bit sparse though, maybe 30 cars? but there is a multi storey next door above the bus station. The hotel is nice and clean, good rooms and a good night sleep - in room internet free and I think wi-fi in the lobby is too, but I did not check this - I hope so because this is the way hotels are going now - and not charging daft sums - so well done Holiday Inn Preston - its a pity the rest of the Holiday Inn chain has not caught on yet. All the staff, especially the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a reasonable bar food menu for the evening as well as a restuarant - Don`t see the point of noisy TVs in the bar area though - blaring away when nobody is watching - especially the football! I would definitely stay here again and I recommend the hotel. Well done

I was at the Holiday Inn Preston for 2 night last week, I once stayed there some 10 years or so ago. I must admit I did not recognise the Hotel, the refurbishment has breathed fresh life into the old buildings. My room was on the 2nd floor and was clean and tidy, although a little on the small side. The usual problem with this hotel is the parking as there are only about 30 spaces you have to lug your cases across from the bus station NCP, pay for the hotels £4 parking ticket and then walk all the way back again to put the ticket on your car. Sorry if this sounds a bit petty, but after a hard days work & having driven 200 miles I could really do without that hastle.

Overall a pleasant hotel, I found it to be a bit noisy (on the city centre ring road) with the associated parking hastle, but modern, clean and comfortable rooms.

My husband and I stayed for one night at the Holiday Inn, Preston. The room was on the 7th (highest) floor and was very comfortable and clean. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom along with tea and coffee facilities (including decent sized mugs). The staff were very helpful and the food in the restaurant (both evening meal and breakfast) were of a very good standard. The only real downside to the hotel is that it has a very small carpark (only 30 spaces) which were all full when we arrived but we were allowed to park next to the traffic island and no damage was done to the car despite the reduced room to manoeuvre. Overall a good nights stay.

Just a quick overnight in the HI, Preston. Weather outside was awful, so stayed indoors. Hotel was a bit chilly but the room was plenty warm. For £60 for 2 incl breakfast it was fine - room clean, service good, food ok. Couple of minor snags in the room and the bed could have done with a new mattress ! but overall, hit the spot. Only real grouse was the lack of car parking - we used free street parking about 500m away.... not the end of the world. Would have appreciated wifi in the room also....

Arrived late after a terrrifying trip through a blizzard. Very speedy, efficient & friendly check-in. Both rooms were ready, lovely and warm AND contained additional treats of Creme Eggs, a fizzy drink and water. Both of my daughters were delighted. Went to bar for a drink, again received good service. Daughters each ordered a pudding as a 'night cap'. the standard of these was sufficiently high that I wish we'd been able to eat more extensively here.
Had a good night's sleep, and breakfast was excellent - one of the widest selections I have seen at a Holiday Inn branded hotel.
Car park is small, and it is a slight pain to park in car park by bus station. But it is close and cheap - £6 for 24 hours.

Quick check in and check out - that's what I like. Staff very friendly and helpful, and hotel well placed for the city centre. Room was good if not a little small, but clean (except for a black hair on the bath - I'm not that colour) and the underside of the toilet seat had not been cleaned.
Plenty of power points, decent telly - air conditioning a bit loud but okay. Nice bar area, and restaurant was good enough - very small onsite car park, but large bus station car park opposite - make sure you get a ticket from the hotel before you use the pay and display machine.
Free but slow cabled Internet, but can be upgraded to higher speed at a reasonable price.
Yes, overall quite happy.

Arrived at the hotel to find the car park overflowing, one of the two disabled bays had someone with out a blue badge in it. We had a disabled traveler, with us, the hotel we great and sorted this out. Later we noticed a number of people returning from the town who had parked in the car park.

The Hotel was clean and up to the standard you would expect, the staff however were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble.

The location was great for the center of Town.

Breakfast was very good, again staff very helpful.

Suggestion for improvement - They had no read good English Beer on offer, such a same where there are so may good local beers, like Blond Witch for example.

Had an overnight stay at this hotel in March, had problems with my card when pre-booking but the staff called and were extremely helpful throughout. Room was very clean and warm on arrival, overlooked the bus station but no noise issues at all. Stayed in hotel bar at night and wasn't disappointed with the service, even though it was busy. Car parking is an issue with a very small car park, left the car at a nearby stores car park without any problems.

Stayed here for two nights during the week , we did not find it too busy but parking was quite limited and we had to use the city car park which was subsidised at approximately £10 per 24 hours, there was parking on site available but it was limited and full
The rooms were on the quite small side but the service by the staff was good and a credit to the hotel
