My time here was really enjoyable. I was made to feel welcome from when I first walked through the door. The staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful. I would also highly recommend the food, they have a wide variety of different choice from the menu. I tried many different things over my week stay and was all extremely tasty. Would recommend anyone to use the hotel for business or pleasure.

We had a meal in the restaurant to celebrate my 40th birthday and couldn't praise it highly enough the food was great and staff were brilliant couldn't do enough to make sure it was a special night that we wanted. Special mention to Kirsty for organising and Rick for serving us as well as the rest of the staff whose names I did not get. Give yourselves a pat on the back and accept all our thanks. You all made a special night extra special thank you all. Thanks very much for the card and the balloons and the cake was yum.

We stayed one night on the way back from Scotland with Shearings. The key cards didn't work in several of the doors and we had to find a member of staff to use the master card.We were 2 floors up although we had requested ground or first floor and we were told to go back to reception to get the card reactivated. I rang down reception to ask if someone could come up as I couldn't manage the stairs again ( I don't use lifts) and was told they were too busy to come up!! We went for dinner at 7pm and the receptionist reactivated our card and several others, why weren't they done earlier ? It was a shambles!! One man was told his lock was broken and they knew about it but still used the room. The evening meal was tasteless and the fudge cake had a peculiar taste so we left it and so did others. Breakfast was o k.

We stayed as part of an Edwards Coaches group. The double room was adequate and comfortable. The self-serve breakfast was excellent. The evening meal was limited in choice but plenty of veg to accompany the main choice.Staff were polite and efficient.
The location of the Inn,as with many Holliday Inns, is in a commercially built up area and
Is devoid of human movement after working hours except that of heavy traffic on the surrounding ring road. The bar is well stocked but pricey and capitalises on the absence of any nearby pubs. A good choice for a short stay but could get expensive over a week at the bar.

Not much to report aside from this being your average chain hotel. Clean room, bathroom shortly needs updating but overall okay. My 6th floor room was quiet with a comfy bed. Beer was reasonably priced in the bar as was my 1 night stay.

I frequently stay in Holiday Inns. This one is not the best. Did not have my loyalty card details although these wete provided when booking. Room very small. Room service menu limited. Room was dated and although superficially clean it did not appear fresh. Receptionist was excellent and very helpful.

Not five stars, but for a one or two night stopover good value for money. Traveled to Preston for a family wedding and wanted to stay within walking distance of the venue, so to avoid getting taxis. Being in a central location the Holiday inn fitted the bill. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Reasonable washing and showering facilities, Tv, and coffee and tea making facilities, and air conditioning, basically everything you may need for a short stay. They do not do family rooms so I had to have two rooms one for my wife and I, and one for my two sons. Luckily my eldest is 20 years old so was happy for him to share with my 12 year old. But would not have been able to stay there had they been a lot younger. The hotel did put the rooms close together so I could keep an eye on them. A excellent full English breakfast was included in the price, or cereal and toast with a good selection of condiments should you wish for a healthier option. My only real gripe would be, that for a hotel of this size parking is very limited. But overall we had a good stay, helpful and friendly staff.

We were witnesses in a Crown Court case and stayed here for three nights as the hotel is situated over the road from the courts. It's also only 5 mins walk from the centre of town. The hotel is OK and worthy of its rating. The bedroom was a decent size, the bed was comfy and the room and ensuite were clean. When checking in we were made welcome and were again when we went for breakfast. Breakfast was good without being anything special. Can't comment on other meals as we dined out. I guess the biggest downside is the very limited parking at the hotel (although parking is available in the multi storey car park opposite). Good for business stays.

A reunion of old uni friends and this place was fine. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Take care on the roads around it, it was not designed with pedestrians in mind. The breakfast was nice though means you miss some cafe gems in the city.
