I decided to take my camera for a walk and what better place than a zoo. I chose the Paradise because it wasn't very far away - Junction 25 on the M25 - easy to get to, very easy to get around, well laid out, and great for buggies. Best of all they have reduced the prices for the winter and, being a senior for the first time, it was well reduced, I paid only nine pounds, and that for a day out is great value.
The sun was shining, but it was very cold, so all the animals were out and about, just right for the kids and the photographer. No hills like some of our zoos, but you could go above the animals on the walkways, for a really good view.
The Kiddies loved the farm animals that they could get close to, and they weren't bombarded by baby goats (yet!) wanting food.
The food courts were warm, comfy and not too expensive, about average I would say. The staff were great, pleasant, helpful and with lovely smiles. I learned a lot about the wolves, by having a one to one with a lovely lady keeper, who knew what she was talking about. The only thing that took this from Excellent to Very Good was the bird show, I think it was too cold, the birds didn't want to play, so we watched three ducks have a race and a lovely owl try to fly, and she didn't want to, not that it was the keeper's fault, but we were getting colder and colder sitting there waiting.
A great day out for me and everyone who was there, I'm sure, there were a lot of smiles, so one assumes everyone was having a good time.

Excellent day out with lots for the whole family. Clearly a lot of investment continues at this park and it shows - well presented animals with good opportunities to interact with everything from rabbits to camels to reindeer to zebras as well as watching (from a safe distance!) the big cats.

This is a lovely place. I went with friends and our young children. You want to go as early as you can and leave when they close! Get the most out of the day.
Lots of good viewing points for all the animals.
The food is a bit pricey for microwaved meals. Don't care what anyone says that pasta dish was microwaved!
The theatre show is good, the presenters are good. Although thought it very odd that someone in their early 20's was using feet and inches for how big the biggest snake is! Obviously straight out of a book but kids now wouldn't know what that meant! They really should be using metric! (I wouldn't understand but given that the show is aimed at kids and is educational they should be using metric!) If you go do tell them!
Some tips:
We started in the soft play area because it seems that it is at its quietest then.
Then that means you can pop back to the car for lunch and eat it outside without having to walk far! Then drop everything back to the car to save carrying everything!
Then wander round and finish at the pool It's quieter right at the end of the day so take towel and swimming things. Right by the entrance/exit so ideal to finish, change the kids and either have something more to eat or go home!
It is quite pricey but search the Internet, Tesco vouchers and also discounts. We got 25% off from BuyaGift and that was for height of season.
Talks are good, not too long for young kids and enough movement and things going on for the very young who won't be listening to the information!

Had a really good day out. Went in early before the zoo opened for the big cats experience followed by breakfast. Our guide was very informative and made the tour very interesting. Had a good breakfast in the cafe overlooking the tiger enclosure. The staff are very friendly. All in all a very enjoyable experience for children and adults alike. It was worth going just to see the big cats got some fantastic photos.

I visited the Park while I was on a weekend away. I thought that the entry fee was a little steep for what was actually in the park. We visited off-season which may explain why the atmosphere wasn't fantastic but it ended up being a rather dull day out. They did have some impressive animals inside the park but we weren't convinced by the spaces these animals had to themselves. We did sit in one of the small animal shows with a lizard and a cockatoo which we did enjoy. However, one of the staff members seemed to make a special effort to avoid us when walking around with the lizard, perhaps because we weren't children. This is not somewhere I'd go back to in a hurry, I'd rather save and visit Longleat.

Enjoyed our day at Paradise Park, plenty of animals, lots of feeding talks/shows. You get the opportunity to buy food to feed lots of the animals and birds which really adds to the enjoyment of the day. Particually enjoyed the Wolves feeding talk, the keepers went into the enclosure with them and spoke for 15minutes about these interesting animals. Birds Of Paradise was very interesting. All in all good value for money!

I bought my husband a 60th birthday gift of Shadowing a Big Cat Keeper and feeding a big cat
It started at 8.45 with my husband and I offered refreshments then we were shown around the big cats and told all about them Our guide Tom was the most pleasant person you could wish for and made us feel like royalty as he took us around. We had another lady and her husband with us
who were also lovely people. During the tour we watched training and how they checked the cats
After a short break my husband was treated to mucking out a relatively clean cheetah cage
and then preparing food for his lion feed. We were shown other food preparation areas and told what food was used. after another short break We went to Rocky the tiger and the lady with us fed him
Then we went over to the white lion where my husband chose to have his feeding experience
At this time my son arrived at the park with his partner. Tom was quite happy to wait while they found the enclosure which I thought was really nice of him. My husband had a wonderful time
We took lots of pictures and movies We then went to food preparation where my husband prepared food for Ocelot and leopard he then took it into a empty cages and put the food out
After that he took food and threw it in for the cheetahs and was taken in to stroke wolves
My husband was given a £5 voucher for food or drink and that ended the experience
We spent the rest of the day at the park having a picnic as it was one of the hottest weekends of the year. We finished our day watching Rocky the Tiger having his big feed of the day .

We really enjoyed our day pout at Paradise wildlife park, plenty of variety of animals and the new White Lion cub was amazing to look at.

I really enjoyed this Park. It kept my two sons - aged 3 and 5 and a half - very entertained. We arrived at 10.45am and left around 3ish and we only left then as they (and us!) were flagging!
It took us about 30 minutes to get through the entrance to the Park, but only because they had so many rides and 'things' for them to see. The big slide was a great hit and so were the diggers and the little train. It was £1 per person to ride the train, which we didn't begrudge at all. Well worth it to see the boys faces.
There was a bouncy slide set up near the animal park which my oldest son loved. The bird display was nicely presented and if we had timed it better, we would have caught a show in the theatre bit. Both the boys were fascinated with the giant tortoises.
All the animals looked well kept and the whole Park was clean - so many aren't. My husband and I both thought the overhead walkways were a great idea. When you are small, you can't always see at ground level - the boys loved being able to see the white tigers and the monkeys 'close up'.
The Park was just comfortably busy, plenty of space, and the weather was kind to us.
The food - for a Park of this nature - was fine. Cooked to order (I've had much worse) and a choice of veggie options which was refreshing. My only slight criticism? The boys portion of chicken bites was a bit stingy at 3 pieces, not much for hungry boys!
All in all a really good day out for all four of us. Lots to see and do and some things we didn't manage to see. Great for young children, we will be back!
