We used Gills for the first time just to do a boiler service, in the past we have used British Gas but decided to use a local firm. I must say that the positive reviews on various sites did meet our expectations, the engineer that carried out the service was as thorough as you could expect not just for the service but also from a safety check also, I do not think we had such a thorough job from the big name companies. I would also like to say that as we have a new build house and have had BG and the developers plumbers in the house the engineer from Gills could answer any question I threw at them with excellent knowledge.
If you are considering using Gills but are having second thoughts don’t, you will not be disappointment based on my experience

went this week with husband and 7yr old son. cost over £40 to get in!!! there's renovations and building works going on the whole time around the site as they're improving/changing it all the time. it was nice to visit but everything expensive and anything you see to go on for kids is at least extra £1. there's a cafe up high which is nice but coffee starts at £2.50. best part was the mini railway and walk (really worth the £1. each ride) and the fabulous array of neat climbing things in the play area. When i wrote to them about why do they up their prices in school holidays etc, their answer was simply 'its supply and demand'. It doesnt cost any more to look after the animals. its just greed. summary, pricey and overcrowded and they dont restrict how many go in. it was beyond a safety issue when we went. wont be going back again. The toilets were worse than any public toilets too. ghastly! they should invest some of that cash in those!

We bought a Tiger Tea experience for four adults and what an experience it was! We had a fabulous time at the park beforehand, the animals looked wonderful, well loved, well cared for and certainly well fed, which would be hard to disguise if this were not the case as a lot of them were within touching distance and very friendly. Our keeper/guide, Kayleigh was lovely, she named all the big cats for us, told us lots about their personalities and histories and was really passionate about the breeding programmes. It was lovely to hear that many of the cats despite being too old or having genetic health problems were living out their lives in safety and comfort, which I'm sure is not often the case in all zoos. We had our tea at the Tree Tops cafe overlooking the tiger enclosure and what a treat it was, the best table had been reserved for us and the food and service were excellent - selection of fresh sandwiches on a platter, scones jam and cream, muffins and delicious cakes as well. All in all an excellent day, we would all do it again! Thank you and well done Paradise Wildlife Park.

I decided to take my camera for a walk and what better place than a zoo. I chose the Paradise because it wasn't very far away - Junction 25 on the M25 - easy to get to, very easy to get around, well laid out, and great for buggies. Best of all they have reduced the prices for the winter and, being a senior for the first time, it was well reduced, I paid only nine pounds, and that for a day out is great value.

The sun was shining, but it was very cold, so all the animals were out and about, just right for the kids and the photographer. No hills like some of our zoos, but you could go above the animals on the walkways, for a really good view.

The Kiddies loved the farm animals that they could get close to, and they weren't bombarded by baby goats (yet!) wanting food.

The food courts were warm, comfy and not too expensive, about average I would say. The staff were great, pleasant, helpful and with lovely smiles. I learned a lot about the wolves, by having a one to one with a lovely lady keeper, who knew what she was talking about. The only thing that took this from Excellent to Very Good was the bird show, I think it was too cold, the birds didn't want to play, so we watched three ducks have a race and a lovely owl try to fly, and she didn't want to, not that it was the keeper's fault, but we were getting colder and colder sitting there waiting.

A great day out for me and everyone who was there, I'm sure, there were a lot of smiles, so one assumes everyone was having a good time.
