Glad I took the advice of fellow TripAdvisor's and took the family here.

What a lovely zoo!!

Bring a picnic, food offered isn't that great. There are lots of places to sit and relax specially when the weather is nice.

Lots of great animals to see from different perspectives and closer than most zoos I have been to.

Some places where being refurbished so didn't get to see the likes of the penguins and was slightly disappointed in not seeing any chimpanzees as they quite entertaining.

Excellent selection of big cats, all out in clean spaces. The talks were informative however did start later then timetabled on most occasions.

Lots to do for kids, included in the ticket price. Bouncing castles, slides, playgrounds, outdoor pool, soft play area, sand pit etc.

Good value for money, friendly staff, well kept zoo, lots of animals

Only other negative I can think of is having to pay for parking seeing as it's middle of nowhere and getting there by car is the only way. Might aswel just include it in the ticket price.

We booked a "Snooze at the Zoo" through a charity auction. It was fantastic. VIP access to the park for 2 days. Friendly welcome from the staff. The Zebra suite was great, with 2 boys we had everything we needed. Waking up to hear the lions' roar was something you don't forget. Then having breakfast overlooking their enclosure! No evening meal was available, this was not a problem for us, we went out into the town and had a meal. Walking around parts of the park when everyone (well nearly) had gone home was magical. On site there is also a speedway museum which was well set out and very interesting. Again the staff/volunteers were all very friendly and informative. If I'm honest I wasn't sure what to expect when my husband booked this, but I am so glad he did it was all truly fantastic.

An excellent small zoo. We went on the Big Cat Experience; reviews we're concerning for the welfare of the cats, but the zoo clearly look after their animals. Considering a ranger day at their breeding centre in Kent.

It was nice at the time I went there, though the downpour of the night before made the weather not that pleasant.
There were few animal cages empty as the zoo was waiting for new feline to arrive, but overall the experience has been nice.

Loved the bird section and the cage where you can enter and get small parrots flying over you.

I think I will go there again again as soon as the weather will improve.

We did the Brunch with a Tiger experience. Fantastic guided tour, the staff know the animals really well, each staff member obviously has a good relationship with each animal. Not all your typical zoo animals but still a great range, some fascinating creatures. Food and other services were good, great car parking. Spent from 9:30 (open) to 5:30 (half hour before close) in the park. On the day we went it was great weather, got to most of the talks and feedings. Well worth a visit if you're in the area or especially for one of their fantastic experiences. A great place to spend a whole day.

This park offers you the chance to see and experience animals at close proximity. It is about 30 minutes drive from London and is easily reached. The staff are very nice and very helpful at all times. This place is very much geared towards children as they have themed rides and activities, and play areas. Good selection of eateries at reasonable price or bring your own food and have a picnic!

They have rare red pandas and white tigers, and the elusive snow leopard .... spectacular. A worthwhile trip!
