Enjoyed the animals but your architect obviously had no kids. The toddler play areas seemed to have either concrete or tarmac surfaces which are now way out of date.Toddlers fall down a lot and in your play areas would come home with scrapes and cuts. Most public play areas are now rubberised or bark chip. Time you caught up

My wife and I received the Walk on the Wildside VIP tour for Christmas 2015. Being honest we were not sure what to expect what we got was an amazing experience.
The Park is small and in contrast to other zoos that we have experienced they have not jammed too many animals into their enclosures. And there enclosures, although small are excellently put together giving the animals plenty of activities to do, as well as places to strut, hide and snore! The enclosures also use vertical space to add to the amount of area the animals have. All the animals appeared calm and at ease even with the numerous school groups screaming around.
The whole site is amazingly disabled friendly where even the ramp to the Big Cat is long and gentle, easy for carers pushing wheelchairs. In fact throughout the entire park I only found two areas of concern for wheelchairs, the entrance to the Tiger house and the entrance to the bat house, both have a slight step up that can turn the front wheels.
As for the Walk on the Wildside experience, being able to get up close to a barn owl and several smaller reptiles and animals is so awesome. Ellie, our guide was incredible throughout, she knew her stuff and certainly opened my eyes to the issues of reptile pet ownership.
Food is no more expensive than a large MacDonalds meal however the drinks are very expensive which was a big issue as the sun was beating down.

Paying £32 for 2 adults we do think it was slightly expensive for the size of the park but no more so than any other attraction in the area. You can also get good deals with voucher websites and newspaper offers, we just happened to miss out on these!
Start of the day we thought we would be disappointed as hardly any of the animals were out to look at but as the day went on they woke up and we got to see everything. Loved the woodland walk area. So peaceful and a nice change from all the rowdy school groups!
Miniature golf was excellent. Simple but loads of fun and only £2 each!
Loads of space for picnics but also lots of kiosks to buy food (probably expensive like most attractions). Although ice cream prices were very reasonable.
Would be a great day out for kids with animal food available (£1), demonstrations and talks and big play areas including sand pit, paddling pool, bouncy castles, slides and a traditional playground area.
Didn't end up going in the speedway museum as we forgot about it but did see it on the way in.
Overall we had a great day the staff were friendly and the sun was shining!

My husband and I visited here today. Nice range of animals just very confusing when walking around as no set route to follow. Sadly some of the enclosures were closed for refurbishment. Very disappointed with £3 car parking charge as most zoos are free parking. Although the lions and tigers were very close up and the high bridge lookouts were great for getting a closer look. Park was very clean and tidy. Toilets were clean. Loads for children to do.

What an amazing day!!
Bought big cat feeding for my partners 21st birthday present and it completely exceeded our expectations.
We started our day with lunch in the tiger tree tops cafe. Slightly over priced but was nice enough food, good selection and lovely to sit and eat whilst watching the tigers lounge about. Staff were friendly enough.
After lunch we had a quick walk round and went across to the discovery centre ready for big cat lunch time.
We were expecting to be taken through, feed a cat then left too it. We couldn't have been more wrong.
We were welcomed into the discovery centre by a very friendly lady (sorry can't remember her name) and sat down. She returned very quickly and put a dvd on for us explaining the history of the park and offered a drink ( good selection) and even given a plate of biscuits!
The lady came back over again for a chat, very friendly but she was clearly aware this was our day and didn't want to stay too long, she left us again to fill out necessary forms and then introduced us to our zoo keeper who whisked us off to feed the cats.
I think the zoo keepers name was Shirley or Sharon, ( I will call her S) she was amazing!
So passionate, so friendly and immediately put us at ease. Obviously we were counting fingers before she came!
S was so knowledgeable about he park and its history, and clearly lived and breathed her work. We were taken on a tour of the behind the scenes areas; the animal kitchen, the meat fridge (an eye opener) and the meat prep room. In the prep room the procedure was explained and we were made to feel 110% comfortable and confident before continuing.
My partner was then given the meat to carry and we were taken to the white tiger. I want to make it clear at this point we weren't hurried along at all, we thoroughly enjoyed every single part of the experience, S genuinely wanted to make it an experience to remember and wanted to make my partner feel like he was doing now every part of the process, she was really lovely.
The experience was bought for my partner only but I was still allowed to go into the enclosure to take pictures, and S kept checking with me to make sure I was getting photos for him and really made me feel included in the experience.
The feeding was incredible! S explained about the breed, how they live in the wild, how they eat, the Tigers temperament, his personality it really was fantastic. TIP: don't wear white, you will get tiger dribble on you! :) which is gross and amazing at the same time!
After the feeding had finished S couldn't thank me enough for buying the experience, she explained how the money from these experiences help the animals, the park and the projects they have around the world. It made it even more worth while.
We were given a tee shirt and a certificate, which was lovely and S gave us tips on what to see next and when other cats were being fed.
I can't thank paradise wildlife park enough for such a fantastic day! It's been almost a week since we visited and my partner is still telling everyone he sees about his tiger feeding! He is still smiling ear to ear!
Coming from a very customer service driven background I honestly believe it was the staff who made the day so special so a HUGE thank you!!
We will be visiting again.

I went with grandchildren 10 and 8 years old. Plenty to do and they thoroughly enjoyed the day. Animals look well cared for and you can get up close to view them properly. Plenty of other activities for children i.e. softplay, playground etc. Cafes and picnic areas. Take plenty of £1 coins for extra activities and well worth it!

As a birthday present for my partner, we had the breakfast with the big cats. We got there at 8.30 for a guided tour of the big cats including white lions, white tigers, snow leopards, jaguars and tigers. The talk was fascinating and the guide - Aaron - really new his stuff. This was followed by a delicious continental breakfast. We then wandered round the park at our own pace. We were impressed by how close you felt to the animals, the beauty of the majestic beasts and the high quality of the enclosures. It was a truly unforgettable experience

It was our first time visiting there.
It's a great zoo with plenty of activities for children.
You can also feed the animals (although it's a bit pricy) but it's also great watching others feed them.
The staff were really friendly and caring.
Moreover, they offer a pick up service for those not traveling with car which is very convenient and cheap.
The drivers are very welcoming too.
The only downside in our view was that the food are very expensive there and some of the animals did not exist in their enclosures and there was no sign mentioning that.
Other then that, we really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
It's a great zoo with plenty of activities for children.
