The Fire Brigades Union have announced another strike date on Friday, 1 November from 6.30pm - 11.00pm. The dispute is with the Government over pension reforms. Whilst the issue is a matter between the Fire Brigades Union and Government, every Fire & Rescue Service has a legal duty to maintain a level of service to local communities as best it can.

The new awards aim to recognise the city’s individuals who are dedicated to Exeter through their work in the business, community, creative arts or sports sectors. Nominations are invited from colleagues, clients and communities. With over 80 nominations already received, the nomination window closes on October 15th 2013.
