Due to popular demand, the Chesterfield Canal Trust's tripboat, the John Varley, will do full day return cruises on Saturday 14th & Wednesday 18th July, Saturday 11th August and Saturday 8th September.

Monday 4th June marks the 120th Anniversary of the opening of the railway line from Sheffield to Chesterfield. To mark the occasion, the Chesterfield Canal Trust is hosting an exhibition of photographs and boat trips.

The Chesterfield Canal Trust's tripboat, the John Varley, will do a full day cruise this Saturday, 26th May. It will include the first ever public trip into the new Staveley Town Basin.
After lots of preparation, tomorrow sees the first of many matches for North Derbyshire Chargers RLFC at their new home at Barlborough Country Park.
