As Boltonians now living in the Highlands, we always take a detour on our 400-mile journey en route to Stockport to grab a bite to eat at the Olympus. I really miss this restaurant's food and it's so very true that you never know what you've got 'til it's gone! We took it for granted when we lived in Bolton, but not any more since moving away!
From the moment you step in the door, you know it's going to be a good dining experience. The establishment is lovely and clean with tasteful décor in the main dining area and conservatory dining area and more importantly, both the ladies and gents toilets are modern and spotlessly clean. The proprietor is enthusiastic about every aspect of his business and takes great pride in maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities.
The staff too are warm and friendly, and those who wait on the tables do so with a level of courteousness that would not be out of place in any of the top class hotels in Manchester. The food is served quite quickly once you've placed your order at the counter, and we've always found it to be piping hot. The portions are ample (but if you have a ravenous appetite like my partner and I you may want to ask for a large or extra)portion of chips). The quality of the food is excellent and it always tastes freshly cooked.
There's a baby grand piano in the restaurant and when the pianist is playing there's a lovely ambience in the restaurant.
We always look forward to visiting this place and would sum up the Olympus as having helpful staff, excellent service, superb hot food and good value for money. What more can you ask for?

I was really disappointed here.

been here a couple of times now . its a well known eatery in bolton . its a licensed fish and chip restaurant with a fish and chip shop adjoined onto it . its clean and has a good environment rating the staff there are excellent that take your coat off for you and on leaving they have your coat open ready to help you on with it (very useful for the elderly or infirm) this is a really great place to visit whilst out shopping

I was on a coach trip with others from North Wales, and the fish and chip lunch was included in the price, and we were a bit wary of how big the portions would be. What a surprise - a lovely meal, which included bread and butter and a pot of tea - everyone on our trip thoroughly enjoyed the Olympus experience. Many thanks

set facing what will be the new bus station in Bolton is this very good chip shop that has a good menu that has more than fish and chips. It is real good food in a good atmosphere and spotless toilets. It can get very busy and no doubt when the new bus station opens it may be busier still. it can cater for parties strange though it may seem I attended a funeral and the meal was held there.
