Greeted with warm welcome by Sam & :Louise - Smooth check in - and despite being given clear directions - lost my way to be assisted by friendly & helpful Richard - Linen Porter

Room 103 exceeded all expectations - perfectly appointed and whilst un packing Sam came to check I was "happy" with room - Happy /- I was DELIGHTED

Pleasant time spent in Cameo Bar - Jack - Barman very attentive

Breakfast in Cameo Restaurant I consider to be on a par with same enjoyed on recent Cruise Manager Aziz - Warm , welcoming and efficient with a professional flair

Dinner was spent @ Hyndburn Business Awards Ceremony hosted by the Hotel - & They did so magnificently- special thanks to Manager Amy - presented Birthday Cake to one of my gusts with perfect timing

Just returned from the dunkenhalgh spa afternoon. I had heard mixed reviews of the spa and being very local for some reason just never thought to visit but will definitely be going back. The grounds of the hotel and the hotel itself are lovely and I have visited before. I was welcomed to the spa by friendly professional staff with a glass of cold fruit juice which was nice on such a hot day and the bar area there was lovely and modern. Taken down to the spa and shown around - yes some of the corridors and changing areas are dated and could do with a refresh but seemed clean. Pool area is lovely. Again I had heard this was dated and it is is some ways but was clean and tidy and is a lovely area to relax with a book. The spa facilities are great! A nice big sauna and a couple of steam / aroma rooms. Well laid out and spacious. Great value for money for the afternoon. Price of hire of robes/slippers a bit steep at 7.50 but you don't have to do this and it's nice to not have to wash towels etc. A nice relaxed afternoon and will return.

Every time I visit, I’m reminded of how welcoming the staff are. From check-in to check-out, they go above and beyond. We need more hotels with staff this friendly and accommodating!

As a solo female traveller, feeling safe is my top priority, and the Dunkenhalgh has definitely earned a spot on my "feel safe" hotels list.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The hotel was very clean, the room we stayed in was large and had both a bath and separate shower. Many of the original features had been retained and the hotel was well decorated. The food was excellent and the hotel catered for people with allergies. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed using the gym in the leisure centre, which came at no extra charge.

We stayed here for a girls spa break from when we arrived to when we left everything was lovely. Staff very helpful and friendly, we had spa treatments booked on the day of arrival and the therapist Sarah (dark hair) who did my treatments wow fantastic back massage and facial. The food, our evening meal was amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here.

as a platinum member had recieved notification of an upgrade to the executive room which was appreciated. On arrival the receptionist gave me my key and informed me of the facilities. The room was nice spacious and clean. But …. none of the executive room extras were presentempty fridge , no coffee machine , no slippers or robe basically a nicer standard room. As a platinum member which equates to over 60 nights a year in accor hotels you expect the little upgrades etc for your loyalty. I went to reception and thankyou chutti for sorting out the coffee machine and some soft drinks for the fridge, she was great ! But this was the norm it’s an upgrade so those things are not placed in room automatically! If i get an upgrade i expect as anyone would to have the full upgrade experience otherwise not only is it pointless but reflects. badly on accor that this is their premium room! The stay was lovely and nothing else was wrong but really need to improve the treatment of loyal accor customers if you upgrade ensure it really is an upgrade

I absolutely love staying at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel — it’s my go-to place whenever I visit family and friends up north, which I do about 3-4 times a year. In fact, I’d rather stay here than with anyone else! The history and beauty of the hotel are undeniable, but it’s the exceptional staff that truly make it stand out.

From Sarah in reservations, who makes the booking process effortless and even goes out of her way to say hello and make you feel like part of the family, to the receptionists who greet you with genuine smiles, the hospitality is second to none. Special mention to Niel, the concierge, who embodies the spirit of service. No request is ever too big or too small for him, and his priority is always ensuring that every guest is happy.

But perhaps the most remarkable part of my stays are Edwena and Azis, the F&B managers. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure that whether it’s breakfast, dinner, or any event, everything runs smoothly and with such personal care. Their dedication is clear, and no matter the occasion, you can always count on them to ensure it’s a success.

I’m truly grateful to all the team for making every visit feel so special. There’s no place I’d rather stay when I’m up north. Thank you for making my time at the Dunkenhalgh memorable, every single time!

Looking forward to my next stay booked in a couple of weeks-
I will be sure to take photos this time!

Had a great stay, the hotel team were great and very helpful. Even when our room wasn’t cleaned due to the door sign falling off, they were happy to go the extra mile. Was worried room would be too hot with the very hot weather, but was given a larger room and fan. This worked a treat.

Great place overall but always room for improvements, some of the decor in the less seen areas are a bit tired,I stayed for three nights and if I’m being honest it would’ve been great if I didn’t get charged for using the pool, any decent hotel would have this complimentary especially as I was there for three nights.
Breakfast was great, the beds were very comfortable, parking was ok but when they had an event on some one parked in front of my car and blocked me in, it wouldn’t of bothered me but I had to leave for an appointment which meant I was late once the car next to me left I managed to do a 20 point turn and escape…. Very frustrating but not the hotels fault just idiot people.
