We've been coming to the Olympus for many years as it's consistently great. The fish is beautiful and the atmosphere smart and relaxed - upmarket without being pretentious.
The staff are lovely and always make an effort with you. The menu is varied for a chip shop - I'd recommend the home-made moussaka if you're not in the mood for fish. Frederick's ice cream is also available if you have any room left!
One of the nicest additions is that you can listen to a pianist on a grand piano as you eat at certain times... it really is a joy to come here every single time!

We visit Olympus ever now and again and the food is always great, full of flavour. Sometimes chippys have greasy food however Olympus doesn’t! It’s great value for money also. Would recommend!

Looking for somewhere to eat after doing a bit of shopping, we spotted Olympus fish bar, Wow! when we walked through the door we were amazed at how classy this place looked. The fish and chips were delicious, served with mushy peas, side salad and bread and butter. The staff were very friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this place

Food is delicious. Absolutley delicious. Soft barm cakes, chunky chips NOT greasy, with a lovely texture. Latte's lovely (i am fussy regards Latte's).
Relax also to a gentleman who plays the piano. Amazing place.

My wife and me dropped in by pure chance off the bus exchange, and what a great surprise we had !! We were met as we walked in, taken to our table and, when we ordered, the meal was superb. It may have only been Fish n' Chips, but they were cooked to perfection, and the fish was gorgeous, served with nice fresh bread and a pot of tea. My wife is somewaht a conniseur on fish and she was delighted. The waiter/ s were 1st class, very friendly and courteous to everyone who came in and went out, which is nice to see these days. All in all, a great place to eat, anytime I should imagine, but do try and drop in for their fish n' chip lunches. We'll be back next we are in Bolton Mmmmmmmmm !!!

This is a first rate restaurant with a wide choice of dishes. It is warm, friendly and the food is always excellent. It seems to attract a regular clientele and can be very busy at times. I dine there at least once a week

This is trying to be more than a fish and chip shop but it’s not managing it, for fish and chips and other “with chips” meals it’s expensive you may as well eat at a restaurant. Because of where it’s situated it will continue to be successful but for a tenner you can eat your fill.

I like the Olympus, handy as I work in town but it seems every couple of months the takeaway sticks anoter 10-20p on the prices. The fish meal deal was under a fiver not that long ago today it was £7. And the fish is tiny, didn't even fill the tray. Nice foodm, cooked well but not good value
