Had dinner here it's really nice very fish and chips they do a cut down menu from the main menu for O A P at a low budget price plenty of sitting room excellent value for money

It is the sort of place i imagine as a restaurant from 1952. That said its not a bad thing. The service is excellent and the fish and chips were outstanding. its really good to relax and eat and chat with friends over simple well prepared food.

Piping hot fish and chips no complaints happy staff making you feel welcome went at lunchtime for a bite on break from work was served almost immediately and food was excellent. Deffo worth a return visit

Called in again today as we always do when shopping in Bolton town centre. I had my usual musaka and my wife her usual fish chips & peas and it was superb ! .One thing though we are not happy about,we noted that the board outside said pensioner special.
I asked the reguler waiter what the difference was between fish chips & peas that I had and the fish chips & peas that you could order as a pensioner special ? he said the pensioner special was a smaller potion . I said if that's the case why are you charging pensioners the same price ? he said oh you will have to see the boss about that. Unfortunately the boss was not in so if you read this boss please do something about it ASAP as surely a pensioner special is supposed to be a bit cheaper on account of us pensioners struggling to survive on the basic pension. I have always praised this restaurant over the many years we have been coming here and always thought you were one of the few restaurants in Bolton who gave a discount for OAP's but it looks like we have got it wrong, If this is a genuine error then please correct ASAP. We will be taking note on our next visit planned for next week. Other than that keep up the good work and you are still the best fish & chip restaurant in the N/west never mind Bolton.

Called in here on a very cold Decembers day and a lovely surprise to find the restaurant warm and friendly, My girlfriend said it was the best fish and chips she had ever had and we both loved the ambience with the piano being gently played in the background .
The bill was very reasonable considering the surroundings and the waiter insisted on helping my good lady on with her coat. Old fashioned service which is sadly missing these days

We had two pensioner meal £7:60. Fish is lovely.
