On a very hot Friday afternoon we found ourselves in Bolton without much of a plan.
I'd said let's have a chippy tea, my wife agreed but not knowing Bolton at all well the question was where. Trip Advisor checked, the Olympus was less than 200 yards away.
We were greeted warmly by Tassos who basically said sit wherever want.
Found a table next to the window where we could see the good folks of Bolton and further afield going about their business.
I surveyed the scene and I was reminded of a posh hotel from the seventies or eighties, I thought it was quaint.
It was then to my great surprise that the piano player cranked up. I hadn't realised there was a baby grand less than thirty feet away.
Brilliant!
The food arrived quickly. Fish,chips,mushy peas,two slices of bread and butter and a pot of tea for two. What could be better?
It was fantastic and worth every penny.
An absolute must return.

Olympus never fails to give a warm welcome & a good meal at a fair price! We always go for the pensioners special, good value at £7.60 which includes tea or coffee & bread & butter along with a choice of either fish or a pie! We always have the fish!

Go here whenever I'm in the Bolton area. Clean, good quick service, very good food. Efficient staff, never pushy. Well presented and polite. The surroundings are pleasant, not your average F&C cafe, there's even a piano player, a man on the door welcoming you in and a waiter to fetch your drinks as soon as you've ordered them.
This was another good visit, as I expected it would be.

Came here for lunch with my boss and other colleague I had never been before was greeted with a friendly staff member that showed us to a table good quality food and good service will be visiting again

Very attentive friendly staff who looked after us very well. The food was delicious, piping hot and they were very generous portions. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back!

Visited with a coach party yesterday for a meal, the food was fantastic but what made our visit so special was the professional way in which we were welcomed and served, all credit to the manager who I believe was called Ali. Nothing was too much trouble and he made our visit so enjoyable. Thank you again for looking after us so well. We will be back !
