A wonderful restaurant, good menu with very tasty chef specials, my favourite being the steak and mushroom pie ; The pie comes in it’s own individual pot , the crust is really light and melts in your mouth , the meat and mushrooms inside the pie are complimented by a rich , extremely tasty gravy , altogether a really tasty experience:
I had chips and mushy peas with my dinner and together they really were great ; I had a ground coffee with my dinner and it was really tasty , altogether a very enjoyable lunch , one that I can highly recommend , the service was Quick and professional; and when we asked for drink top ups they were quickly dispensed... I have dined here on very many occasions and have never been disappointed... the restaurant also offers a varied coach trip service from the restaurant to places of interest and even a mystery tour.. I have never been on one so cannot comment, only to say they seem very popular.. I can recommend this restaurant and takeaway for its cleanliness, and very tasty food.. I rate it a ten out of ten

Having experienced this restaurant before I was not too enthusiastic about the chips served with my battered haddock as they were rather soggy. My wife's experience with the steak & mushroom pie was much more favourable. The waiters are always attentive but the service could also have been faster with bringing the meal.

Best F&C in Bolton. Good facilities and atmosphere. And now close to the new bus station. Certainly worth a visit

Entering the restaurant I was immediately greeted by a friendly and efficient waiter, he said I could sit anywhere. I sat at a table that had been arranged for four people as I had some shopping and other items. The seating area is pleasant and well laid out.

Another member of the waiting staff approached me and provided me with the menu and a specials slip and told me how to go about ordering. I chose the Olympus cod meal: fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and a pot of tea.

My food arrived very quickly; the fish was very tasty, if a bit on the small side; the peas were excellent and the chips were nice, if a little on the dry side; the bread was a single slic of white bread that had been buttered some time before, this was edible but soggy.

I got my tea and enjoyed my meal almost alone, no doubt the weather had put a few people off, as I know from previous experience that this restaurant can get very busy at lunch time, particularly on market days. I overheard the waiting staff speaking to a couple of older ladies who were obviously regulars, they were made to feel very welcome, which was a lovely touch.

Whilst I enjoyed my meal one of the more senior waiting or management members: a middle aged man, made several adjustments to the front and back of his trousers, which were apparently the cause of some discomfort. Despite fairly deep delvings he didn't leave the eating area to refresh and just went back to arranging cutlery when he had finished his trouser task. Although this could be considered a minor point, it is a point that concerns poor hygiene standards and one that needs to be addressed. No doubt the restaurant will be able to view this and give relevent advice.

Overall I was vry impressed with the standard of the food that I received; I would have liked to see more of it on my plate for what I paid and I don't think expecting bread to be freshly buttered, especially when the restaurant is so quiet, is asking too much. Despite this and the staff members need to adjust himself in public view I would visit this establishment again, although maybe as a takeaway customer rather than a sit in.

Always excellent but don't get snobby about putting scraps on meals when requested - it's a bit pretentious to put them in a silver gravy boat 😁.Always a good atmosphere and consistent quality .

Only just found this place. Nearly as good as those in Blackpool. Tasty fresh fish and chips - washed down with a mug of tea. Bliss - oh and when you have finished go for a pint at the nearby Yates where they play Bingo in the afternoon. Bolton has some great old pubs and deserves a bit more TLC. The market nearby is wortb a visit - not as good as Bury but certainly different.

We had lunch here today chose the pensioner's menu as we qualify for that it was nice just fish&chips or meat pudding and chips with bread&butter and cups of tea or coffee this seems to be a family run business it's spotless good service and beautiful toilets which is always an added bonus for me. We would go again it was reasonable in price as well.

Nothing beats a post theatre supper at Olympus Chippy. Tasty fish and chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea accompanied by live music played on a grand piano. A traditional menu but I recommend pensioners special/ just enough option. The team are very friendly and give everyone a warm welcome.
