I've been coming to the Olympus for many years and it's consistently great every time. The batter is light and crisp and the chips are cooked just right. Tasos, his mother and all his staff are very welcoming and treat you like friends. The classic, yet calming restaurant is a civilised oasis in the centre of Bolton and here's to many more fish and chip meals at the Olympus!

This Restaurant is really excellent in every way. The food is really tasty, well served by courteous staff who couldn't be more helpful whatever your particular choice or problem diet issues are. It is a clean and bright atmosphere with a piano playing in the back ground and it is licensed with very reasonable bar prices. There is a choice of menu options for groups with fish & chips only, or with a dessert followed by afternoon tea later in the day. I took 42 people and didn't have one complaint therefore I would recommend Olympus to any group looking for a good day out.

Don't be fooled by a fish and chip shop restaurant. This is far from it. We'd gone on a day trip to Bolton and found it recommended as gluten free, so we tried it and glad we did. Amazing tasting fish, home made tartar sauce (bought 2 jars back with us!!). We sat in the Orangery with a real pianist playing too. Had a couple of requests played. It was excellent and worth going back to Bolton just for this restaurant alone! We will be back.

Been to this restaurant many times. You can always depend on the food and the service is good. The pianist leaves a very good touch and it is welcoming.

We have visited here a few times, usually with family. The food is very good and good value for money. The staff are friendly and efficient. The decor is nice , for a cafe, and there is often a pianist playing a grand piano who is excellent! It appeals to older folks but we all like going.

My wife and I have been to this Fish & Chip restaurant several times for lunch and never been disappointed, and there is a small portion deal for pensioners which is very good value for money
We also went to a St Georges night charity dinner which was excellent could not fault the evening one little bit. We had a delicious soup for starters followed by excellent fish and chips topped off by apple pie & custard just like Grandma used to make Fantastic evening with good entertainment.

What a lovely place, after visiting Ena Mill first we proceeded here for lunch. We were met by owner as due to road works outside his restaurant we had to park in Morrisons! He escorted us to his restaurant and were met with a spacious area which was pretty full and escorted past the piano player and into a lovely room where all 44 of us sat down.Waiters came with choice of brown/white bread and then our fish, chips and mushy peas came , mum and I dont like mushy peas so we didnt have that! The fish and chips were lovely, light crispy batter and proper chips. We then had a choice of tea or coffee. Most went out to the market afterwards but we stayed there until 3.30pm when we were served with scone, jam, butter and cream and tea/coffee, unfortunately we then had to head back to the coach and return home. Will go again if given the opportunity. All staff were polite and friendly and the pianist played throughout!
