We decided to have a few days away and Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa was the place we opted for.

The place itself is in a nice location and there are a few shops around the site. Check in was quick and easy and the staff were friendly.

We choose an Executive room. We were given room 311, the room was spacious however it was quite tired and the carpet defiantly needed a good clean. It looked like someone had spilt a cup of tea at one side of the bed. At least I hope that's what it was. We noted there was no hot water and raised that with the font desk. The issue with the hot water continued despite us being told it was fixed later that night. We raised the issue again the next day when on our way out for lunch. Upon returning at 22:30 we had to call down as it issue was still not fixed. The front of desk came up and we had to change rooms to 204. 204 again was spacious and a lot tidier than the first room. The water worked fine. But a shame as that was our last night. Whilst a cold shower was OK for me, my wife was quite put out having to shower in the spa.

We explored the two bars on site on the Saturday afternoon in to the evening. The drop in was a good place to watch sport and had plenty of things to do to keep us busy. Pool table, table football and dart board. It had a steady stream of people coming and going and on the whole had a good atmosphere. The drinks were a little on the expensive side as was the food. We choose to get a snack and opted for the pulled pork nachos. I will say the dish was disappointing at best. It consisted of a bag of crisps that had been warmed up and just topped with a bit of pork and cheese. Coming in at just under £11 didn't really meet expectations.

We then made a visit to the Courtyard Bar. We had a great meal in there and the wine was good quality. Unfortunately this is where that experience changed. The hotel 100% needs security on that bar. A group of very drunk people turned up, three guys and four or five ladies. They had a bottle of prosecco from a local shop and saw it fit to sit out on the balcony area that was clearly labelled no smoking to enjoy their shop bought wine and smoke away. Each time they would come in leaving the door wide open and just being rude. Upon being asked politely a number of times to close the door. One of the drunk men saw it fit to start kicking off and having a go. His pal then had to drag him off to the toilet to avoid a conflict. Its at this point we opted to move away from the situation and returned to the other bar. Clearly not something we expected to have to deal with on a relaxing weekend. And 100% something that management or security should have dealt with extremely quickly. To have to move away in the manner that we did to avoid a conflict was just ridiculous, people in reception and in the bar were gob smacked by what was unfolding. It definitely left us feeling quite put out. Something we have never experienced before.

The spa was lovely and the pool was also a nice treat. It was very busy on the Saturday but nice and quiet Sunday and Monday.

Overall a lovely place however an accumulation of the issues in the room the rude people we had to deal with in the bar really put us off. Its unlikely we would return.

Booked a spa break here through wow her. Great deal.
However since we last visited a housing estate has appeared! The rolling views from the pool are no more! Such a shame.
Staff very friendly and the food was amazing.
Unfortunately our corridor stank of cannabis all evening. Also the pillows in the room are very uncomfortable.
The tables at breakfast were actually sticky! Need a wipe down.
Sadly we won’t be back which is a shame because the staff are lovely and food great.

Really good and enjoyable break. Spa facilities were great.
The pub on the site was really good and felt like an added extra to the break.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The cottage room was very clean and cosy.

Beautiful location, room with lovely garden view and singing birds, bed was fine, for myself I required an extra pillow. Tea and coffee but had to ask for decaf tea. Spa was great. The first breakfast was fantastic then you start to notice where things are starting to get a little tired. Rust on shower curtain, carpet thread bare and not straight, TV at an angle, pillows very well used and require replacing, the wardrobe from the ark and no fridge. Unable to sit on toilet while paper is in holder, seal round bath requires replacing. It's a great place that just requires a little tlc. The second breakfast took over 30 mins to be served by then the tea and coffee had gone cold. Sausages were missing so came in a separate bowl. Was not asked if we required sauces and we had to ask. We would stay again. It's much nicer than a premier inn.

My wife and I visited for an afternoon tea. I had read some very negative reviews (largely Google reviews) the day before we went, so was not sure what to expect.
I need not have worried. The food was tasty and satisfying, and the service was attentive and welcoming.
Jazmin was our waitress and deserves a special mention for helping to make our visit an enjoyable one.

Visited here for my daughter’s birthday on 7-8 April. Firstly, I would like to say that ALL the staff are wonderful, polite and more than helpful!

I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels where the staff have not been polite and courteous as theirs

After reading some of reviews I was extremely sceptical. Yes it is a little worn, but it’s clean and extremely tidy. We had no issues with bedding at all. Crisp and new. The first room wasn’t so good, it was a Wowcher deal so I kinda expected this. Absolutely no problem in moving us to a larger, fresher room.

We visited the spa which is lovely with an infinity pool. I had an hour long massage which was fabulous. So relaxing.

Our deal included for breakfast and dinner. Dinner was absolutely delicious with a great menu choices, and exceptional service. Breakfast was equally as delicious, lots of choice and huge portions. We couldn’t eat it all, happy doggies!

I’ve just received a call from the hotel letting me know my diamond ring was left in the room! Such honesty deserves great praise. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Yes, I would definitely recommend a couple of nights away here. Not the Ritz, but runs like a well oiled machine. Thank you 🥰

The hotel is older in style with the public aresa very nice, but the rooms and corridors are dated and in need of some TLC, mainly the carpets need a good clean to remove the strong stale smell. The staff were very mixed, some giving excellent service and others being quite rude.We asked for apple or orange juice at breakfast and were told there wasn't any even though it was still early in the service. The pool area and gym is nice, but not the quality of a spa. Make sure you enter the pool before 10,30am on your departure day or you'll be charged an extra £30 to use the pool, which they don't tell you about. The horizon spa pool has an excellent view of the car park and a housing estate not rolling hills as you'd imagine from the website.

We held our wedding at The Last Drop Village on April 6th this year. We had 92 day guests and around 200 in the evening.
It was AWESOME! Liz, our wedding planner, is 100% the best! She took care of every little detail from start to finish and on the day, Jackie, Zoe, Daniel and the team made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and all of our guests commented on it.
I don't have enough space to write all of the positive comments that we have on here, but I will say that if you are planning a wedding at The Last Drop, don't even think twice, you will love it!
One note though to the hotel, the Bridal suite number 11, has a spotlight outside the window which shines right into the bedroom which kept us awake, although we were buzzing so it could also be something to do with that..... LOVE LOVE LOVE!
