The gardens, which have been undergoing major improvements over the years, are amazing for unlocking the imaginations of both adults and children alike. There is enough here to occupy a family for a good two to three hours. There is a wonderful walk which takes you through woods, past a man-made lake and a waterfall, a few follies, ducks and a swan and back down to the formal garden of the house, which is an absolute rose-filled delight in mid-summer. As you walk round, you get occasional, terrific views of the Blackdown Hills and the countryside around Taunton. We did the bluebell walk, which is an enchanting circuit around one side of the estate. The cafe, offering a range of freshly cooked food and cakes, is excellent There are a number of tables in a courtyard setting and a shop selling National Trust-type goodies and plants. The woodland walk would be challenging for wheel-chair users, but the formal gardens are accessible and wonderful to sit in. A wonderful place to take a book and relax.

Located in centre of city next to the central bus station. All the amenities are close by with lots of bars,restaurants and the shops.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.
The car park was very small but there was an auxiliary one close by which was fine but you have to be out early during the week.

I stayed here for one night whilst on business in the area and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is well-situated in the city centre and although it has a small car park, I suspect most guests wouldn't' manage to get a space, particularly if arriving later in the day. The multi-storey car park above the bus station is right next door and is open 24 hours a day, charging £4 for 12 hours or £6 for a full 24 hours. I parked my car here with no problems and in fact, looking at the way some guests had crammed their cars into every corner of the hotel car park, it was probably safer leaving it where I did. The hotel room was clean and appropriately equipped for the price, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant/bar pretty good to be fair. I would stay here again if returning to Preston.

Staff were friendly. Rooms were comfortable. Nice beds. Breakfast choice ok however the sausages were bit too chewy. Very welcoming female receptionist. The dining room was nice and cosy we stopped their for the football match

We stayed in this hotel, on business, which is well located in the centre of Preston and has a number of free on-site parking spaces. The bedrooms are not large but they have been updated. Both the room and bathroom were clean. There is only secondary glazing not double glazing and we did suffer from external fan noise which made sleeping difficult.
The staff are pleasant but unfortunately not everything went well. There was confusion about the day of my booking in that they sent me a confirmation for the wrong day. Resulting in a lengthy phone call to sort the matter out but no confirmation followed up for the correct day.
The breakfast was okay but not of great quality.

We stayed for two nights clean rooms good central location. The staff were very attentive and an asset to Holiday Inn as really helpful with both my wife and son needed gluten-free food and they organised it without fuss. No faults just praise!

I stayed here for one night. It is excellently located and right next to the main bus station.
When I arrived Maria was on reception and she checked me in quickly and very efficiently. I thought she was a real credit to the hotel.
My room was really clean and the beds were really comfortable. The rooms were not large and the gap between the desk and beds was small.
I did not eat in the hotel.
Overall, I liked this hotel and would stay again.

Very clean and tidy Hotel
Wi-Fi Sperry good I would say the only downside is the parking but you can park across the road Which isn't to much trouble

A very enjoyable stay in a very good location. Clean and satisfactory for a quick stay to see friends. Easily could be used as more than just a base. Beds were comfortable and the room was tidy. Thank you
