I recently visited Hestercombe and simply loved that this is a very short drive from the town centre, but you are in the middle of no where, the scenery is simply stunning, we had tea and cake in the conservatory which on a day full of sunshine was the perfect setting. Its a great place to take children as there are lots of walks and areas to run around. i cannot wait to go back and try more of the walks, theres a gift shop, a little expensive but these are one off pieces, so you know what you buy is unique. well worth a visit.

superbly designed and maintained gardens - formal and woodland - with lots of different points of interest a great day out any time of the year for any age group. A little expensive but feels worth it after the visit.

I have two young kids and a dog who need somewhere they can let of steam but my wife and I want a nice attraction too. Hestercombe gardens fulfilled this and so much more. The cafe is good too although you could take a picnic if you want and enjoy it in the gardens.
The views are breath taking and the gardens are beutiful. There is useualy a childrens trail thing on to get them looking at the plants etc.
Get a membership and use it.

My in laws had a Golden Wedding Anniversary lunch on Saturday, the food was delicious, the service very good & unobtrusive. Not a bad price either. There were 36 of us & we were made to feel special. We put up photos & a cd link of photos on the computer, there was a huge drop down screen already there. The gardens were included in the price so everyone could go and experience them in between lunch and Coffee & cake. It helped that the weather was sublime so lovely & warm. Would recommend for weddings etc as well as surroundings are beautiful.Thank you so much to the staff for making the day extra special.

We stayed here New Years Eve.
Room was great, lovely and clean very warm, fantastic buffet style breakfast, porridge and cereal was also available as were croissants, Danish pastries, various meats & cheeses, fresh fruit and yoghurts, fresh tea and coffee.
The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Lorraine who had a wealth of knowledge regarding the company.
I can’t recommend this place enough and will absolutely be back there.

After staying in several hotels around the country on business, I was so happy that the last one was here. From the outset, the staff were helpful and attentive. The rooms (and access to) were good. I understand the hotel is currently undergoing a refit. Such good news to know this hotel will keep on top of rooms before they become too tired.
Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice and a hot food section that looked refreshed, rather than the usual dry look that food left out for an hour gains. Even the eggs were runny.
Well done to you all

The hotel is next to the bus station and a short taxi ride from the BV train station. There is a shopping centre a short walk away
Booking by telephone was easy. The hotel itself was clean. Our room on the 5th floor was warm and comfortable with a good shower and Freeview TV.
The hotel is being renovated and as a result there is a great deal of noise during the day; it stopped at 5pm.
The self service breakfast was fine with plenty of coffee. Reception staff were helpful. We have stayed here before and will do at again.

Stayed one night in January.
I have stayed before at the hotel as it is well placed and a friendly staff.
Room was great as previously.
The evening dinner was very disappointing due to the very small portion size.
Now I am a big lad so I eat well but on this occasion not so.
Starter was piri piri fish (4 pieces of fish no bigger then half a finger at best)and that’s not Captain Birdseye.
Main was beef noodles (nice in flavour but honestly maybe 6-8 forks full)
I even had cheese and coffee to fill up (never do I do this) and slap olives.
Would I stay again, yes
Would I eat again, nope

We had a concert at the Guild Hall so needed to book somewhere to spend night. Decided on the Holiday Inn due to its location. Hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the venue. We parked in the multi story car park above the bus station next to the hotel and paid £ 6,00 for 24 hours. On arrival we were quickly and politely booked in. The room was fine for our short stay and had everything we required. We went to the lounge for a drink and after checking the menu decided to eat there as well. The food and service was very good. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Good location close to Preston Guild hall , room was clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was good busy at peak times but plenty of choice. Did wait a long time for brew would be much better if they had a self service drinks machine.
