I was very grateful for her continued patience and expert eye, nothing seemed to faze Nicki from finding the right package and the trip was a huge success. The pub is dominated by big TV screens showing sport with the sound up loud but, just as you enter on the left hand side there was a separate area with a huge screen but the sound was moderate - we could talk to each other - so that's where we sat. It was early evening so the live bands hadn't started yet. The menu is fairly small - we chose fish & chips and tempura battered king prawns with an Asian style stir fry and both meals were very nice. While we were eating a group came in and ordered pizza, burgers etc and their food looked nice too. We wanted a simple pub - type meal and that's what we got. It's a pity that there isn't an area where you can get away from the sport or the noise though.
