'Richard carried out a side return extension and extensive knock through for me on an Edwardian property. The work was completed on time to an excellent standard that I am very happy with. Project 1 – large house extension – May- December 2017
Kasteel construction undertook a large two storey side and one storey rear extension for us during 2017. They did a fantastic job. Their quote and scoping was well thought out and clear. Richard was particularly good at being involved from day 1 with the drawings and planning permission, right through to ultimate building control sign off. He was always on hand and approachable for queries or advice both before and after his team were actually on site, and it was never too much trouble to come to site to assist us. He also took care to explain things in laymans terms for those of us who are not experienced in the building trade. He and his team managed the build itself, but he also coordinated windows, doors, garage doors, roofing, drainage changes, building control and many other moving parts for us. While on site he and his team were reliable, professional, approachable, tidy, and very helpful. The build was well organised, and we were always aware of what was going on each day, and in the days to come so everything was completed efficiently due to good planning. The quality of the team’s workmanship was excellent. We would definitely use Richard and his team again.
Project 2 – garage conversion – December 2019
Richard and his team undertook a garage project with us recently. Richard was involved right through from planning to completion, and was able to fit us into his schedule quickly which was very much appreciated. He was approachable and clear in his planning and view of how the project would run. He communicated with us well both before and throughout the project to keep us updated on how each day had gone and any matters where he needed decisions taken. He and his team were professional, reliable and friendly, and they got the job done to a high standard and quickly. They were also very mindful of keeping the site secure and keeping the impact of their works to a minimum. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Richard!

We used Binney and Sims on a design and to submit our planning application for a kitchen extension and internal layout redesign of our home, including a garage conversion and construction of a new garage. Katie took our ideas and developed them and with Phil’s technical expertise produce exactly what we had imagined. The result being a really functional family home. We also used Binney and Sims to produce our structural engineering, and their advice and challenge to the planning authority was invaluable. Katie is an extremely personable individual, who bubbles over with enthusiasm and passion for turning the clients dreams into reality. Would we recommend them to friends and family, absolutely 100 percent!

I would highly recommend Binney and Sims Ltd. to anyone considering a home improvement project. Our house is a very unusual shape and we were having difficulty imaging building designs that would make the best use of the space available and give us the additional rooms that we needed. Katie and the team were extremely creative and offered a number of solutions that we had not even considered. I particularly liked how the team spent time listening to what we wanted to achieve and used this as the starting point for planning the proposed design rather than offering a standard 'off the shelf' approach to development. They also suggested some great ideas for the project that we didn't know about which would give the finished design a unique touch. The team offered an excellent level of service and expertise with a very human touch which is essential in planning your future home.
