Thirty Nine 10 wine shop
Thirty Nine 10 is a new wine shop in St Albans - run by Hungarian Ferenc Zelenak, wine enthusiast and connoisseur, and named after the postcode for Tokaj – Tokaji is Hungary’s most famous wine.
Had a chef round to cook a 6 course dinner and and Ferenc paired all the wines with the food. It was brilliant to have fine wines at a fraction of a restaurant cost and a bit of interesting information about each one. Will be back to buy more.

These guys know exactly where their products come from, give great advice on which cuts to cook etc. The shop is welcoming and friendly, and the service is second to none.
I find them especially good as I am cooking for one. They are happy to weigh off small amounts, rather than supermarket 'value' packs. I like the feeling that it's an old fashioned way to shop, with personal service and a ready smile. I can't recommend the shop highly enough, just go and try them yourselves, you won't be disappointed!
