Hi There follows an unashamedly charity trio in this week’s newsletter... The Race for Life is an inspirational event where thousands of women round the country raise money for Cancer Research UK. Many have personal reasons for running, others just want to show solidarity and sisterhood (and get fit too). The Brighton event is taking place this weekend in Stanmer Park, with a 5k and 10k on Saturday and a “Pretty Muddy 5K” obstacle course on Sunday. The Paddle itself is a crazy event where participants use any kind of object they can to manoeuvre themselves around the West pier, all in aid of charity. That’s happening on Sunday, but there’s loads going on both on land and sea the whole weekend. Read all about it on www.paddleroundthepier.comFor something a little calmer but just as valuable, head to the Dome from July 1-4 to have a look at around 200 pieces of art by professional and local artists. These will be auctioned on eBay to raise money for children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House, and Brighton Dome’s community work including the Umbrella Club.
