Welcome to this week's local news update from the Bestof Market Harborough.

Well, the long awaited results from our Business Of The Year Awards are now in and it has been probably the most successful national campaign we have run to date! Read my blog post below to find out more.

Locally, I am very proud to announce our outright winner - The Wistow Cafe Bistro - who amassed a brilliant 146 verified reviews from their very loyal and devoted customers.

Running up to take 2nd and 3rd places were Harborough Blinds and Pro-Vale Pet services - each achieving highly commendable recognition through your reviews as 2 of the region's favourite independent businesses.

Congratulations to our 3 winners who will each receive certificates of achievement, and I'd like to thank all businesses who put themselves up for nomination and to you, our local community for your brilliant support. I greatly look forward to doing it all again next year.

I love this time of year because as a Rugby enthusiast (the game that is, not the town - although I have absolutely nothing against the town!!), I look forward to the Six Nations Tournament which starts this week-end. If you are a keen follower too, why not make it a social event by watching all the matches and build up at The Red Lion Pub in Great Bowden. You'll meet up with fellow enthusiasts and enjoy some great banter in a great atmosphere - and if you want to eat and drink - well, you couldn't be in a better place!

I'm delighted this week to officially welcome both George Halls Cycle Centre, and My Admin Support to our Bestof Market Harborough membership. You can read my blog post below to find out why I rate them so highly.

Incidentally, Neil Holman, the proprietor of George Halls Cycle Centre is campaigning between now and Good Friday (March 25th) to support the 'Africa Rising Kit Appeal' wherby you can all get involved to help make it possible for young African talented cyclists to realise their dreams of representing their country.
