We had a voucher for a wine tasting evening, the staff, particularly Wyne, were attentive, knowledgeable and so engaged and friendly. We would highly recommend this experience!! Ask to be served in the wine tasting room on booking if you are a small/intimate party. 110% effort even thought it was just 2 of us and we were paying both voucher.

We headed to the Curry Room for a date night before our next baby, and had the most wonderful evening. The curries were delicious, we especially enjoyed being able to try a selection so many things on the menu with some lovely extra touches.
The service was exceptional, we were looked after by Siya and 'service with a smile' doesn't do him justice. He was fantastic and made the evening really special. Thank you!

Wonderfully situated hotel in St Peter Port, with excellent views and a peaceful, calm aura. Rooms are spacious and exceptionally comfortable. Decoration is on the eccentric side, but everything in the room was high quality—especially welcome was the plush bathrobe.

However, the thing that makes this hotel so very special is the staff (some will get missed out, but they really all were fabulous). Ranga, the Concierge in charge when we arrived, was fabulously cheery, very helpful and possibly the world’s strongest man (sorry again for bringing so many funny shaped bags). Irma on reception was warm and informative. Housekeeping, who made sure our room was spotless everyday, thank you to you all, too—the nightly turndown service, with little midnight snacks, were a lovely touch.
But the standout was the very thoughtful and instinctive Siya, who attended to us at breakfast, and went above and beyond to ensure I could enjoy a meal in The Curry Room without having to worry about my peanut allergy for once. He took such care, even down to ensuring he’d cleaned his hands every time he came to our table. Amazing customer service and a lovely, warm person to speak to, too. I actually should also thank Chef Nolan for creating a couple of new nut-free dips that night, too. The lime and coriander raita was divine, as was the sweet chilli sauce. Also, thank you to Paul and Govind for also helping to make us feel extra special that evening!

All in all, a lovely hotel to stay in, where guests are treated like honoured friends, and the food is generous and delicious. We’ll definitely stay again.

This hotel went over and above to make our stay fantastic. When we arrived there was someone ready outside waiting to open the doors of the car and carry our luggage, We were offered a welcome drink straight away. Check-in was a dream. We had a sea view suite that exceeded expectations. Breakfast was cooked fresh to the person's choice. We had dinner at the hotel which was excellent and afternoon tea (the chef went out of his way to make homemade sugar-free cakes). Nothing was too much trouble and we totally enjoyed our stay in the heart of St.Peter Port. Thank you OGH staff all of you were attentive and friendly. you made the stay so special.

Had afternoon tea at the OGH which was not inexpensive but absolutely delicious. Selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes, etc was superb. What made it special was the attention of the staff - in particular Siya looked after us and made sure we wanted for nothing. What a great ambassador for the OGH.

The team at this hotel are incredible. They remember everything and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Its the team that make this hotel what it is, friendly, happy and attentive.
The hotel itself is old, bit tired but quirky. We were in a standard room and found it too small for a few nights stay, nethertheless it was very clean although we found the ventilation difficult to get right
Recommend the treatment room
Fantastic breakfast choice and high standard
Bar staff and standard brilliant

We stayed at this hotel in the middle of March. We stayed here for 4 nights with our 4 year old son and my parents. What a treat we were in for. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed which a drink of your choice and Govind (deputy manager) even provided a bowl of marshmallows for our very tired little boy! We were lucky enough to stay in one of the suites and 'oh wow' it really was a suite. It was huge, there were gorgeous little touches in our room, a Teddy bear for our son with the OGH jumper on, an activities pack with colouring pencils and pictures. There were flowers and chocolates for my mum as it was her birthday which was such an amazing touch. We had endless amounts of tea, coffee and hot chocolate including bottled water. The bed was huge and the pull out bed for my son was so comfy, he slept in for all 4 nights. It was so clean and even housekeeping would redo the room later in the evening when we were out having supper. Another touch that I thought was so lovely was every evening someone would come round the rooms around 6.30pm with handmade biscuits from the kitchen team.
The restaurant at the hotel was amazing, the evening meals were perfect, the breakfast was delicious, my husband was delighted that they provided health juices! We also had afternoon tea which was delicious.
The hotel is centrally located with a small walk to the town and harbour. Behind the hotel is Candie gardens which is a lovely walk round and a bus stop that will have buses to take you to most places.
The beauty of this hotel really is the staff and the service. Nothing was ever too much and they made such a fuss of our 4 year old son who had the best time. They even asked him one morning what fruit he would like and he told them bananas for them not to have any in that morning... I was astonished the next morning a bowl of bananas were waiting for him at the breakfast table! I really want to give a special mention to Govind (deputy manager), Byron and Wyne who really looked after us and made our 2nd visit to Guernsey so much more special. We will be returning back to hotel no doubt.
