I had already written 2 letters to the government department without response, and been held waiting 45 minutes on the phone, before being cut off altogether. Armed with the Probate Dept's advice sheet, I tried again to obtain what I needed and received 2 email replies within 24 hours, one confirming my request was being actioned and the other saying I should receive the document within 10 days! Thank you The Probate Department (Brokers) Ltd. My sanity is restored!
