Disappointed in Breakfast, we arrived at 9.45 and all the food and drinks required replenishing we had to keep asking staff and it was a while before we could eat. Tea that we ordered didn't arrive either.Apart from the above it was a pleasant stay

Had a great stay here. Massive room with lots of space for family of 4. Staff very friendly and polite. We stayed as part of a group wedding party but would use this hotel again. Great location for shopping /cinema/ restaurants too

Standard room but can hear the cars outside even when windows closed. The curtains didn't close fully meaning the room was bright. a lot of dust behind the headboard too. Good selection of drinks at the bar and generally clean throughout

While overall the hotel seems to be in good repair and good decorative order, the guest bedrooms, particularly the bathrooms appear to be now a little tired and could benefit from some attention. I have been using the hotel, under its various names, since 2012 and will probably continue to do so. I was especially pleased to benefit from a promotional rate on this occasion. The staff, as always, were warm, welcoming and attentive.

My daughter and myself went to this hotel for a mother daughter pamper day. On arriving we spoke to Wendy who is such a lovely person she showed us around the hotel cafe bar areas then the spa facilities explaining were everything was. We had an excellent back massage by Ria, we made use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi, the swimming pool isn't enormous but the average size you'd expect in a hotel of this size. We found the changing rooms, showers and bathroom facilities clean and well tended. We were both given towels and robes to wear during our visit. As part of our spa deal we had lunch upstairs in the bar area which was excellent value. We chose club sandwich, fries, coffee and cake which was all really good the lunch was more than ample we were very pleased. The bar staff were pleasant and attentive. There was a football match on during our visit but this did not affect how we were treated or served at all, we think the staff did a brilliant job. The bar area is very nice, quite a big area with plenty of seating and tables. We didn't actually sleep in the hotel so can not comment about the bedrooms but from what we saw it looked good.

Rooms quite dated. Could not fault the cleanliness of the rooms though. The staff just seem to be going through the motions, with little customer service skills. Didn't use the restaurant or the bar, went elsewhere.

Whites' reception area promises much in terms of elegance and the overall hotel structure appears to deliver. The rooms are a good size and spaciously well-designed. Ample parking area lacks signposting to access it and also to move around it, it's unnecessarily confusing. Areas that can be easily improved in the customer experience: towels on the sandpaper side of the fluffiness spectrum; the bathroom heated towel rack looked as if it was made out of iron rather stainless steel and had been painted over but the paint was patchy revealing rust ! Can't say I've ever seen such material - whatever it was in ANY hotel, let alone one so seemingly super-modern. The tea & coffee facilities are spartan in the extreme. Just two tea bags, and a couple of coffee sachets. No hot chocolate and a small number of mini-milk cartons. Each of these drinks cost fractions of pence, surely for a hotel rated at around 4 stars the hotel could supply these basics in larger amounts - perhaps a total outlay of 50p would do it. These minor details upset the client's attitude to a hotel's management and antagonise and irritate, for no reason. Come on Whites, UP your game!

Stayed one night at the hotel when travelling north - wish it could have been longer. Everything first class would definitely recommend it. Don't be put off if you are not a football fan. It is part of the stadium. We were there on match day and there was no problem with parking or noise. Good location near motorways. Excellent food in the hotel but also restaurants nearly and a retail park if retail therapy was required. Hotel was spotlessly clean and all the members of staff were friendly and helpful.
