Bit expensive for a basic room
The room was lovely a big with a decent view where I could keep an eye on my car when there was an event on.
On the day of staying the weather was 30c+, I was looking forward to checking into the room and finding aircon. Instead I had an old fan that just wasnt making the room cool enough and all through the night I woke up too warm.

We spent a week at this hotel in June. On the positive side the hotel is in a great location and the staff are wonderful. On the other hand our room was rather tired - trouser press hanging off the wall, the shower was just a plastic curtain over the bath, and we had to call reception to have mould removed from the tiles. Then we were particularly surprised on check-out to discover a £10/day “service charge” added to our bill. I don’t think we will be returning.

I enjoyed my stay at Bolton Stadium Hotel and can thoroughly recommend for short and lomger stays.
Buffet Breakfast was of exceptional variety and quality, with great, obliging, friendly staff, as were the Bar staff and Room attendants who excellent especially Connor and Tatiana. Reception were very efficient, co-operative and helpful. considering any disruptions caused by the name change. The largest shopping area in the country is in walking distance close by with a variety of shops a products. In all, a very pleasant stay, in the very beautiful surroundings of Horwich and Rivington area, close to Bolton with MotorwIays to all points of the country close by for ease and speed of access.
The absence of a fridge and safe for visitor use in the room was a bit concerning for a regular traveler, but nothing else impaired a my 12 day stay.

The mattress was perfect
Aircon would be better in a room however I had a fan and staff were great to bring me ice to make a cold drink
