We had a great experience in The Governor’s Curry Room. Fabulous food, nice atmosphere and superb wine made all the better by the knowledgable and friendly service from Siya. We highly recommend the OGH for a touch of luxury in beautiful surroundings

We stayed at the hotel overnight as part of our Golden Wedding Anniversary celebrations.
We had an absolutely fabulous time. The staff were incredible and made our visit all the more memorable.
We will definitely go back and experience more of their excellent hospitality.

Just returned from 4 nights staying at this beautiful hotel, some would say old fashioned but I loved everything about it,comfortable rooms and communal area, the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble,we had a package deal that included one evening meal and a deluxe afternoon tea,the food was exemplary and served with friendly efficiency, little touches like a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and bucks fizz on our last breakfast table was a nice touch and very appreciated, every evening our bed was turned down and a sweet treat awaited us.

We LOVE the OGH and have done for years. We have stayed as a couple in their gorgeous rooms, eaten in all their restaurants and had afternoon tea in the sitting room. I’ve also just popped in for a coffee in the sitting room or a drink in the bar.

We have found the food amazing and the service flawless. We are never rushed. We are made to feel so at home. We usually book once a trip in their Indian restaurant (the Curry Room) and if our flight is late or we suddenly want an impromptu dinner out, we have always been lucky to find a table in the brasserie.

Thank you OGH team!

We had made a reservation for cocktails and chef’s bites at the OGH Crown Club. The Crown Club turned out to be closed, but the fantastic cocktails made in front of us at the bar with fresh raspberries and passion fruit more than compensated. Special thanks to Satish, who probably makes the best cocktails in Guernsey and whose friendliness made the whole occasion really enjoyable.

The welcome glass of bubbles, the virws and the sumptuous setting are all that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The restaurants were relaxed and food stylish. Most memorable however is the genuine and professional staff, OGH you should be proud of the amazing team you have created, they do you credit. All wonderful but special thanks to Byron, Mercy and Dan.

A superb 4 night stay at the OGH Hotel. Everything was spot on and the hotel, service, staff, and food were truly 5*. Lovely welcoming greeting from Reception on arrival. and whilst completing check in, a welcome glass of fizz was brought to us.

The bedroom was lovely, comfortable and with a nice view. The included evening meal was excellent, the deluxe afternoon tea the next day was sumptuous. The lounges, restaurant and facilities were decorated and furnished to a high standard. But the true accolade must go to the people who make it a 5* experience - the staff. Very professional, excellently trained, friendly yet respectful, they made the stay very pleasant - all were fantastic but credit to Pamela who served us in the restaurant our first night and who supervised our afternoon tea. Alessandro was also very attentive in the restaurant too, but all of them were great.

Really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here with my Mum on a travel zoo deal. Our stay included afternoon tea and an evening meal. The room was beautiful, spacious with twin single beds, en-suite with bath and shower and an additional dressing room. The breakfasts offer everything and more than you can imagine. The afternoon tea of course did not disappoint just don’t have the evening meal on the same day!
The service was so attentive even after checking out to provide tea while we waited for airport transport.
Most attractions don’t open until late March and the pool isn’t available until April. The little chapel is worth a visit along with shopping, the Occupation Museum and a boat trip to Herm or Sark.
You can just walk along the coast from St Peter’s Port or around the town or take a bus around the island at £10 for a day of unlimited hop on hop off travel. Then it’s 1.50 for any individual trip.
Don’t forget Cocos for your morning coffee or crab sandwich lunch and have a walk to the Cornet Castle.
We are going to go back next year. Love Guernsey and this hotel is a gem.

We loved our stay here !
There is a real Colonial feel to the hotel with fabulous attention to detail; the sheets and towels are super quality and monogrammed, the wall paper in the halls is padded. The hotel has a rich history and there are many pictures and documents detailing these.
Breakfast’s are divine in addition to the traditional items there are kippers, kedgeree and avocado all served under the watchful eye of Alessandro who takes service to the highest level.
The hotel is extremely comfortable and so lovely to return to, after a days sightseeing.
All of the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The manager Andrew seems to know every guest and was extremely helpful in making sure we saw the best of Guernsey.
Thanks to all..
We shall return!
