Clarks Village’s hugely popular dog-friendly weekend is back – and it’s bigger and better than ever.

The Pawsome Pooch event will be held at the Somerset shopping outlet on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September, with the hunt to find the region’s top dog to become its next CEO – Canine Executive Officer.

As well as offering free professional photo shoots for pups, Clarks Village is hosting complimentary pet pampering, dog trick training, have-a-go agility sessions, and pick ‘n’ mix treats – all promising to get tails in a spin.

Plus, for the first time, Pawsome Pooch will be introducing a ‘dog walk’ for freshly pampered pups to strut their stuff as well as the chance for single owners to find love. Pawfect Match will invite single owners to pick up a free red bow for their dog and let them sniff out a potential love match.

The event will also welcome back three VIPs (Very Important Pups) to Clarks Village; current CEO Archie the golden miniature dachshund who won the Pawsome Pooch competition last year, former CEO Dudley the three-legged Hungarian Vizsla, along with Bailey the whippet - the original Pawsome Pooch winner. The trio will be invited onto the dogwalk to unveil newly-commissioned portraits to be installed in a new Hall of Fame for the outlet’s CEOs.

All activities at the Pawsome Pooch event are free as Clarks Village celebrates its canine guests. Plus, one dog will be crowned the outlet’s next CEO and win a prize package worth up to £500 – including shopping vouchers, dog toys and treats, and vouchers for Bill’s restaurant, Prezzo Italian, Sweaty Betty, Raging Bull, Jack Wolfskin, and Hallmark.

Mike Jones, Centre Director of Clarks Village, commented: “Due to popular demand, we’ve made Pawsome Pooch bigger and better than ever before with a full dog-takeover of Clarks Village for an entire weekend. Jam packed with free, tail-wagging activities, it’s our way of celebrating our canine companions and showcasing our dog-friendly facilities and ethos where every member of the family is welcome.”
