Clarks Village will host an ‘elf-tacular’ launch for its festive ice rink this season, with free skating tickets up for grabs.

Last Christmas, the Somerset shopping outlet held the World’s Biggest Santa Skate – aiming to make history for the most Santas on ice. This year, they’re going bigger, brighter and more magical; with ELVES.

Launching the festive ice rink at Clarks Village with a bang, the World’s Biggest Elf Skate will be held on Thursday, 13th November, from 5pm, aiming to set a world record for the greatest number of ice-skating elves.

Free tickets will be available to guests who join in the festive fun as Clarks Village sets out to fill the ice rink with more than 150 elves on ice and create an unforgettable record attempt.

Taking part in the World’s Biggest Elf Skate is free for anyone who dresses up as an elf, with skate hire included. However, the event is ticketed with limited availability, so guests are required to book their place in advance via this booking link: https://clarks.icetickets.co.uk/sessions/2025-11-13

Guests will be able to enjoy ice skating at the launch event from 5pm until 6.45pm, but all will be asked on to the ice between 6pm and 6.30pm for the unofficial world record attempt. Everyone who attends will be given a special participation rosette, with on-the-spot certificates for the best festive fancy dress.

In partnership with Shoemakers Museum, the launch of the festive ice rink, which features 550 square-metres of real ice, will be led by the real Santa and his head elf, who will fly in from the North Pole to meet guests and spread festive cheer.

Chris Davis, Centre Director of Clarks Village, commented: “The festive ice rink at Clarks Village has become a true Christmas favourite and after last year’s unforgettable Santa Skate, we knew we had to start this season in style.

“The World’s Biggest Elf Skate is set to be a magical, memorable family-friendly celebration bursting with festive fun. We can’t wait to see so many guests – or elves – gliding into Christmas with a show stopping launch night to remember and an incredible start to Christmas 2025.”

Located in the grounds of the Alfred Gillett Trust’s Shoemakers Museum, the undercover rink will be open daily, excluding Christmas Day, for seven weeks from November 11 to January 4.

Featuring real ice, and designed and installed by Icescape, the custom-built ice rink will have a dedicated entrance from Clarks Village’s restaurant terrace and offers a magical setting for guests of all ages to get into the Christmas spirit.

Tickets for general ice-skating sessions are priced from £13.50 for children aged 12 and under, £15.50 for adults, and from £50 for family tickets. Guests can book before midnight on 10th November to enjoy an early bird 20% discount on all bookings (excluding 2 for 1 sessions).
