Worthing Thunder saved their best home performance for last as they breezed past Leicester Warriors 103-78 to secure fourth spot at least in their first season back in the England Basketball League.
It was Worthing’s last home game of the regular season and it was their most important. A game where if they had lost, they would of faced the strong possibility of having to travel for their opening playoff game, which could have been against either Leicester or Derby Trailblazers.
Now, with fourth place sealed, Thunder could go one better and finish third if they beat the newly crowned EBL division one champions BA London Leopards next weekend, or hope that Derby slip up in their final game at home to Westminster Warriors.
