Chris Hare and Ann Feloy are co-directors of History People UK, which they formed in 2009.
Chris has been lecturing on, and writing books and articles about Sussex history since 1987. For nine years he ran Sussex history courses through the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Sussex. He also worked as an adult education manager both in Devon and in West Sussex.
Chris has a BA (Hons) in British Studies from the University of Brighton, and an MA in Life History from the University of Sussex. He is a fully qualified adult education teacher with a part 1 and 2 City and Guilds ‘7307’ qualification.
During the 1990s, Chris ran a hugely popular annual summer programme of guided walks across Sussex.
Since 1999 he has conducted over 100 oral history interviews with people living across Sussex, recording the details of their lives and the great changes they witnessed. Those interviewed were aged between 60 and 104 at the time.
Since 2008, History People UK has managed a variety of different HLF (Heritage Lottery Fund) projects. We have expertise and experience in writing funding applications and are always looking for new projects to promote and manage. (See Heritage HLF Projects)
