A PERFORMANCE at West Midland Safari Park is likely to raise lots of funds and smiles thanks to a fund-raising event for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.

The park's Tree Tops Pavilion is the setting for the “Take a Break” event that is being held on Sunday, September 5, between 10am and 5pm.

Visitors to the event will have plenty to tempt them - a variety of homemade cakes and goodies; the chance to join in with a friendly animal encounter; try their luck in a fundraising raffle; meet up with the park’s resident costume character duo, Leo and Leonard and ‘Bag a Bargain’ in an auction of pre-loved handbags at 2.00pm.

During the morning, as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, the park will be encouraging as many visitors as possible to join in with over two million people nationwide who will be encouraged to ‘put a smile on their mug’ for Macmillan Cancer Support. Whilst in the afternoon special tea-time treats will be on sale to help the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign raise the £2.5 million they need to fund a new, dedicated Breast Unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
