The much-anticipated Evita arrives at Malvern Theatres on October 11 for one week only.

Featuring some of the most famous and inspiring stage music ever written, including the classic songs Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, Oh What A Circus, You Must Love Me and Another Suitcase in Another Hall, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s extraordinary musical is embarking on a spectacular national tour.

Bringing to life the dynamic, larger-than-life persona of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, Evita tells the story from her young and ambitious beginnings to the enormous wealth and power she gained and her ultimate rise to sainthood.

The role of Evita will be played by Abigail Jaye who has been seen in other musicals including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Scrooge and Doctor Dolittle. Abigail is also a frequent guest soloist on BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night, where she has shared the stage with Aled Jones among others. Che will be played by Mark Powell. Mark made his West End debut in 1998 in the original cast of Whistle Down the Wind (Aldwych) before playing Montparnasse in Les Misérables (Palace) and Sonny in Grease.

Evita runs from October 11 to 16. Tickets are available from 01684 892277 or at malvern-theatres.co.uk
