ABI Titmuss is set to star in the 25th anniversary production of John Godber’s Olivier Award-winning comedy Up ‘N’ Under at Malvern Theatres from Monday, September 27.
Arthur Hoyle’s sole passion is rugby league and he impulsively stakes his life savings on the team from the Wheatsheaf Arms – an amateur squad who have an impressive reputation for losing every single match they have ever played!
In just eight weeks, Arthur has to turn the unruly bunch of lazy misfits into the best amateur dramatic rugby squad north of the Humber Bridge as they face the dreaded brute force of the Cobbler’s Arms. But help is at hand in the form of an attractive young gym instructor, who may just have what it takes to prepare the boys for the match of their lives.
Abi Titmuss’ stage credits include Stage Fright (London), Macbeth (Lowestoft) and Two Way Mirror (London) for which she won the Fringe Report Award for Best West End Debut in 2007.
Up 'N' Under runs from Monday, September 27 till Saturday, October 2. Tickets are available from 01684 892277 or at malvern-theatres.co.uk
