About WoodbridgeRUFC

Established in 1969 by Mike Lubbock, Woodbridge Rugby Union Football Club is now in its 43rd year. Always solvent, the club acquired its present ground at Hatchley Barn in 1976 that is now home to its impressive clubhouse.

 

Rugby Team

WoodbridgeRUFC is home to the Warriors and Amazons senior men's and women's rugby teams and it also has an extensive Youth section with a growing membership of some 320 boys and girls.

Its successful appeal to youngsters comes not only from the growing popularity of the game but also from its full schedule of fixtures and other events that are organised by a tireless group of parents as well as RFU qualified & CRB checked coaches.


Coaching and Training

The Coaching team is led by new coach, Drew Fautley who has coached Yale, Columbia, Iona College, New York Rugby Club (Men and Women), the USA National Men's and Women's Sevens Teams in the 2009 World Cup in Dubai and the IRB World Sevens Series.

Training is particularly popular on a Sunday morning where you will find the Club teeming with youngsters who are playing and having a lot of fun.

The clubhouse at Woodbridge Rugby Union Football Club can cater for a wide range of functions and events.
