Enjoy a relaxing afternoon out exploring beautiful, prize winning gardens in Waterdale, followed by tea & cakes on the terrace, surrounded by flowers. All proceeds go to charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support & Hospice UK.
The garden at No.19 takes vistors on a journey of discovery along meandering paths through lush foliage, with a surprise round every corner. A ruined folly opens into an oriental garden, complete with Japanese teahouse, then a path through towering bamboo reveals the Gothic summerhouse, behind which steps lead down into the mysterious shell grotto. This 'garden of surprises' won the Daily Mail National Garden Competition in 2015 and appeared in the TV programme 'Amazing Spaces' in 2014.
This year, for the first time, visitors will also be able to see the neighbouring garden at No.12, which has traditional herbaceous borders, overflowing with colourful summer flowers.
Joint admission to both gardens £5 (tickets from the gate at No.19 on the day)
Tea and cakes available at No.19 (charged separately)
